My husband and I stayed at this lovely auberge for 3 nights. The rooms are all unique and interesting and the bathrooms are lovely. My first impression was that this small hotel is somewhat off the beaten path, but we realized during our stay that it's in an interesting up and coming neighborhood.

The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. We were recommended a few restaurants and our favorite was a fabulous meal at Ciccio's through a package from the hotel. This restaurant is quite an uphill climb from the hotel, but well worth it.

I looked forward to breakfast every morning and enjoyed the selection and visual presentation of the dishes.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this charming gem to others.

Our trip was planned Friday morning and Sat we were on our way to Quebec City. I went on tripadvisor read reviews, booked it and loved every second in this amazing hotel. Hotel itself is great: location, rooms, everything, but what really differentiates this hotel from others is service. We were welcomed, upgraded and in our room by 1pm - our room was ready. Our first time in QC and Claude took his time to tell us where to go, which streets to take, where to eat, where to shop, etc. And it is not only information itself but his passion about Quebec and we could tell that he really wanted us to enjoy every second. Other little things, which are big when you travel - real towels, real bathrobes, amazing shower, free movies for rainy day, bottled water when we checked in and box of chocolates on check out. Next morning amazing fresh breakfast, our request for a massage that Claude took very seriously and spent next hour calling to try to find it for us, which he did and since it was raining and we were having a lazy day, he offered us to stay in until 1pm in our room and then use another room that would not be used that day and doesn't have to be clean if we want to watch TV before our late night flight. Thank you Claude and your wonderful staff for making our 2 day trip to Quebec perfect! I use tripadvisor for all my travel (which is a lot), never posted a review before, but had to do it for Le Vincent, just because this place is absolutely magical.

Beautifully decorated stylish rooms and superb bathroom facilities. Excellent breakfasts and fantastically friendly host (willing to spare lots of time to help you to find lovely things in the area – we wanted to see a moose and he spent 3 days trying to work out where we might be able to go to maximise our chances – maps prepared, directions and lots of tolerance for our silly tourist demands.) Good location and excellent value for money.

What a great place to stay. We could not have wanted for anything more, Gilles, Danny and Claude are a wealth of information on their beautiful city. They are quick to help whether it's helping carry your bags or greeting you and offering a cafe upon your return after a day out.. The warmth and hospitality at this auberge was like nothing we have ever encountered before, and this is what make it such a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and a 5 minute jaunt to rue St. Joseph - which has an abundance or restaurants. There is also an elevator 5 minutes away. Everything is very easy access tfrom auberge. WE will DEFIN|ITELY return. :-)

We recently returned from Quebec City for a time out from our busy lives. This happens to be a time of the year we always take a short but nice trip...we had never before been to Quebec and decided it was time to go see the sights and experience some old world elegance in the old city. We chose the Auberge Le Vincent for its location outside of the old town and it looked great online. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by Danny who helped us with our bags, parking our car and directing us to a wonderful place to eat dinner (Ciccio's, a short walk uphill for fabulous Italian food). This inn has 10 rooms, was totally renovated 2 1/2 years ago and the owner put alot of thought into every detail of his property. Claude greeted us at breakfast and gave us plenty of cappucinos and Helen made us a delicious breakfast, with a great choice of entrees. We stayed 4 nights and did alot of walking, visited and attended a church service at one of the cathedrals in the old town and even took a driving tour north, along the St. Lawrence river. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the owner was great at sharing some stories about his innkeeping experience and also helpful in planning our days.
If we return to Quebec we will be sure to stay at this hotel!

My wife and I stayed at Auberge Le Vincent for a week at the end of September. It was our honeymoon so we were keen to have a very special experience and I can tell you that we could not have asked for better. The Auberge is beautifully designed with attention paid to every detail - so many lovely and luxurious additions. The great bed, amazing sheets, wonderful giant shower with a “rain” showerhead, lovely bathrobes. All these are great but they would be expected from a really nice hotel (which this is). What is unexpected are some of the “extra extras”. There’s original art in each room and throughout, and it gives the hotel a creative, modern vibe. The Auberge is in a very busy section of the St. Roch District which is great because you are very close to everything in the old city but that means there is a lot of car traffic outside some of the rooms (like ours..room six). No matter, the owner- Claude - has taken the extra effort to install special double paned windows and custom shutters on all the windows and when they are closed you hear nearly NOTHING from outside. Fantastic!

I could write a whole separate review just on the breakfast. There are 5-6 choices each morning: breakfast crepes, French toast, eggs & bacon, fruit, granola and all of it sooooooo delicious, excellent portions. Not to mention the unlimited cappuccinos! This is like breakfast you would make for yourself…but only if you were extremely gifted and talented :) Honestly one of the most wonderful things about the experience was the breakfast! I think the name of the person who makes the breakfast is Candalaria (if I’m wrong I’m so sorry!). She is lovely and talented. Our breakfasts were either served to us by Danny or by Claude. Both were extremely charming and very accommodating of our poor French which we appreciated. Both Danny and Claude had excellent suggestions about things to visit and things to see and do which really helped us plan our day. Gilles was also amazing – he was often there when Claude was not and he did so much for us. He took our bags out of the car, parked it, ran our luggage up three flights of stairs told us how to get to everything we wanted to see and made several restaurant recommendations and reservations. Often when we returned at night we would see him standing there and ironing linens….To be honest everyone who works at Le Vincent is like that – they just do everything and anything that needs to be done and it results in an amazing and seamless experience for the guests.

One particular note for GLBT travelers, my wife and I are a same-sex couple and we felt so welcomed and so accepted by everyone there. This is something I often look for in the reviews and don’t see so I thought I would throw it in for other Queer travelers who are looking for a safe and lovely place to stay. Also, Quebec City itself is wonderful, we walked around holding hands and there was never a sense of scorn or danger from the residents or other tourists – au contraire! everyone seemed to be happy to see us out and having fun and spending our tourist dollars :)

We had some really great meals as well, some highlights include: Le Saint Amour (really pricey but we were on our honeymoon!), Le Café du Clocher Penche (seriously one of the best meals I have eaten) and Yuzu which is a Sushi place near the hotel - delicious and really nicely decorated inside.

This is not the least expensive place to stay in Quebec City but honestly if you can afford it you MUST stay here. For our part we are already planning our return to Quebec City and when we do return we will DEFINITELY be staying at Auberge le Vincent. Thank you Claude, Gilles, Danny and Candalaria for making our honeymoon so memorable!!!

When you visit Quebec City, you must stay at the Auberge Le Vincent!
I spent a week at this Auberge while in Quebec City for a conference.
The owners and staff were VERY helpful - providing recommendations of delicious restaurants, scenic running routes, and the best massage I have ever had.
The rooms are newly refurbished, full of character with comfortable beds, great showers, and personal espresso machines.
The breakfast is wonderful - fresh fruits and phenomenal crepes, omelets, french toast, etc.
You are a 10 minute walk from the old city, convention center, restaurants, shopping, the river - very convenient!

Definitely stay here!
