“Excellent customer service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

I chose this hotel for my mother after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. It seemed small and personal and in the location she wanted. Little did I know that they would go above and beyond for my mother and her friend. They were flying in from Los Angeles and were bumped from their connecting flight out of Chicago. Though I was angry with United for bumping two 87 year old women traveling alone they did call ahead to Auberge le Vincent to alert them to the late arrival. When weather delayed their flight even longer my mother was worried that no one would be there. But as soon as the taxi pulled up (at 2 am!) a most friendly gentlemen ran down to the curb and greeted them and carried their luggage to their beautiful and warm 3rd floor room. He asked them to sleep in and there would be a 10 am breakfast for them. The following morning, after a delicious breakfast, they were again helped with their luggage and transportation to cruise ship. A potentially disastrous start to their trip was turned completely around and they set off refreshed and rested on their cruise down the East Coast.

This little boutique hotel has only 10 rooms, so make a reservation early! We found it in the doctor's review and were impressed. It is just out of the heart of the city (walking took about 10 minutes) but is in a great location. The owner and all the staff were very attentive and never missed a beat. Each room has its own espresso machine, and breakfast is included in the rates - and it is delicious! It has about 8 (large) dishes on the menu and we tried almost every one of them - no disappointments! We would go back to this hotel any time! Thank you for such an amazing stay.

Room Tip: We had room 2 and 6 - room 6 was a little bit bigger and on the upper level, but room 2 had a bigger...

This is a truly customer oriented hotel! From arrival to departure we felt the staff was dedicated solely to our well being ... and we noticed they gave the same attention to every other guest. This boutique hotel is a lovely mix of old and new with everything modern in an old building. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk to the old city and is pleasantly located in a gentrified part of town filled with excellent restaurants and bistros. Antonio recommended a new restaurant for each evening of our 3 day stay and each one was a delight. We stayed in room 8 and recommend it highly. They also serve an extraordinary breakfast! A delightful place to stay!!

We found this little hotel through Tripadvisor. It was very well located and the personalized service was wonderful. All three Maitre d's were excellent - Gilles, Antonio and Diego - and all gave us great advice for restaurants as well as suggestions of where to go.
Our room was clean and modern as was the bathroom. The breakfast was very nice as well.
We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it

Room Tip: When we booked we were recommended to take a room at the back because it is quieter - but the triple...

Vincent is located approx 15 min walk to old town largely uphill . Although a convenient lift nearby is a blessing, there is still an uphill 15 min walk, Lots of good local restaurants in the area. Our room (no 1) was spacious but the bathroom was very small and needed maintenance. The room has 2 queen size beds but it would be better if 1 bed was removed to give more space. I think that they can be folded back into the wall, which would give more room. The staff at Le Vincent are fabulous & extremely helpful which helps to make up for the rooms shortcomings. Breakfast was good. Overall, I rate it very good.

We just spent two nights at the Auberge Le Vincent as part of a birthday celebration trip. I reserved this boutique hotel because of all of the glowing reviews, and they were spot on! We loved everything about it. The lobby was artistic and comfortable, our King room was elegant and spotless, and the room had everything you needed, from a very comfortable bed to outlets wherever you could ever need one, free Wi-Fi, and a flat screen TV with a DVR (free movies in the lobby). The staff of this hotel was fantastic -- so friendly, so helpful, so kind. They helped my husband make my birthday very special by providing roses, chocolates, a card, and champagne in the room. The breakfasts were delicious and served with a smile and polite conversation. Our attempts to speak French were met with kind understanding and a quick switch into English if necessary. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the Old City -- this is the only thing to consider if you want to be right in or just a few steps away from everything in the Old City. For us the location turned out to be great, however, because we enjoy walking (a quick taxi ride will also get you to the Old City easily). What we also enjoyed about not being right in the Old City was the opportunity to see and experience other neighborhoods on our walks. We found small shops where we could buy bread, cheese, and wine to enjoy in our room, and on one evening we had dinner at a restaurant near the hotel recommended by the hotel staff. We were the only tourists in the restaurant that night -- all of the other patrons were locals.

Antonio helped my husband reserve a fun and informative bus tour of the city, and when we used our car, parking was easy -- we just drove right up to the hotel and they met us at the door and parked the car for us in a garage across the street. We were so happy at this hotel that we felt sad on the day we left. We hope to return! Thank you, Auberge Le Vincent, for everything!

The hotel has charming rooms, excellent breakfasts (included!), free wi-fi, but most of all a wonderful host (owner), Antonio, who couldn't be more hospitable and helpful. It is located slightly off the tourist area, but it's no more than a 10 minute walk to all the major attractions! The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful

Antonio recommended a local restaurant (3 minute walk) called Cafe Babylone and we loved the food and ambience.
