My husband and I got married on February 4, 2012 at the Ice Hotel, and had our reception at the Four Points by Sheraton Quebec. We stayed at the Four Points for the week leading up to the wedding and a few days afterwards. Our overall experience was spectacular!!
From the hospitality of the front desk, to the knowledgeable wait staff in the restaurant we felt as though we were among friends. Our wedding co-ordinators went above and beyond to make our planning process a fun and memorable journey, and they worked so well with our vendors that everything flowed together seamlessly.
My husband and I had been planning our wedding for over two years from BC, and we always felt as though the staff at the Four Points were there for us every step of the way. They were always prompt when returning emails or phone calls, and their knowledge of the vendors in town was a huge help for us.
Our friends and family had no trouble booking rooms for our wedding, and the staff was able to keep our family and friends all in close proximity to one another in the hotel which made socializing very easy. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff exceeded our expectations, and our wedding guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding day was!
The rooms are spacious and always very clean. My husband and I stayed in the Junior suite, and found that it provided plenty of room for the length of our stay and with the separate bedroom allowed us to entertain guests easily. The beds are a dream to sleep in; very easy t fall into and sleep the night away. Not too soft and not too firm with lots of fluffy pillows. My parents stayed in the Suite which had a separate bedroom and a much larger living space with a fireplace. I spent the morning of our wedding getting ready there and the spaciousness really added to our enjoyment of the morning. The restaurant downstairs, Le Dijon, catered us lunch and provided us with a delicious variety of finger foods.
The Ballroom was absolutely an ideal venue for us, as we were able to bring in our own decor, and use any decor company that we wanted to make the room our own. The venue itself had everything we needed for the basics: the table linens provided were of excellent quality and the dinnerware was classy and tasteful. The wait staff for our dinner executed everything perfectly. The food arrived in perfect timing, wine glasses were always full and they moved about so quietly that sometimes we didn't even know they were there. The whole evening had that perfect touch of class.
The hotel restaurant, Le Dijon has an outstanding menu: gourmet quality with reasonable prices. The menu incorporates a lot of local cuisine, which we enjoyed, and the taste and presentation of each plate is of the highest standard. We were able to create a menu for our meal just the way we wanted it, and all of our guests loved the food.
When we visited the Sheraton a year before the wedding, we were treated just the same as we were over our wedding stay. The General Manager even spoke with us, and told us that if we needed anything to please give him a call personally. The day after our wedding he checked in with us to see if everything had met our expectations which we truly appreciated.
We consider ourselves very lucky that we can truthfully say, without a doubt, that we had the perfect wedding day. And, The Four Points Sheraton Quebec played such a pivotal role in making our wedding dreams come true.
We felt as though we really connected with the staff at the Four Points, and we look forward to going back there to celebrate many anniversaries to come. We very highly recommend the Four Points Sheraton for your stay while in Quebec.
All of the rooms are great, but if you want to view the Old City ask for a room on the south side...
