A Review Of Manoir de La Tour
385 Grande Allee Est

Whenever I go to the beautiful city of Quebec, I always stay at Manoir de La Tour on 385 Grande Alle Est. Located not far from the main gate of the last walled cities in North America, the hotel is very close to some of the main histoirc sites this famous city has to offer both to tourists and the very people who live there. The Manoir is only a few yards from the Plains of Abraham, where the Battle of Quebec took place; it is a nice walk to the main art museum, and the Cartier quarter, where cafes and lovely shops are located for everyone.
The rooms I have stayed in at Manoir de La Tour are elegantly furnished and offer the quiet atmosphere that is important after spending the day or evening out in Quebec City.
The management, hosts, and other workers at the Manoir are not only polite, but also very obliging, if one needs information as to certain locations or places of inerest in the city itself. Manoir de La Tour gives its guest the best French-Canadian breakfast possible, which includes a very fine coffee. In short, to stay at Manoir de La Tour is to know the finest hospitality in Quebec City.

The location of the hotel was amazing, close to the old city and other attractions, a beautiful park right behind it. The staff was wonderfully helpful and easy to communicate with. Breakfast was included and though limited in selection was very good. And very reasonable rates.

This place was great, very clean, extra large room. French style breakfast included in the price. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Located on Grande Allee, everything in Quebec City is in walking distance. This hotel is located right at the Battleground Park. I recommend this hotel !!!

This place was great, extremely clean, wonderful working fireplace in extra large room. Lovely little dinning area which has coffee or tea available at all hours. Hearty French style breakfast included in the price. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Located on the main street and everything in Quebec City is in walking distance. This hotel is located right at the Battleground Park. Lovely place.

We stayed at this small hotel in Quebec City for 3 nights. It has a B&B touch, with very friendly staff, home-style decor, and other nice things. It is in a great location over a main avenue, a few steps from one of the most important parks, a few blocks from Cartier street where there are plenty of nice places to eat with locals, and walking distance from the Parliament and one of the main gates to the Old Quebec.
The hotel itself is very clean, the room we got was spacious with its own private bathroom and jacuzzi, although I understand that is not the case in the rest of the rooms. It has the basics. Breakfast was good, bread tasted good !!
We got a good rate from the Internet, so I am not sure what will the regular rate is, but for me I would go back for sure.

  • Liked — Its comfort
  • Disliked — Small TV with no remote-control, no Internet access from rooms
  • Tips/Secrets — This is really more of a big B&B than a hotel
