The Hotel Sainte-Anne in Quebec City is the perfect location for immersing yourself into the history and quaintness of Old Quebec. It's a small boutique hotel with a good restaurant and helpful staff. Old Quebec was smaller than we realized from the maps and everything is within easy walking distance. This hotel's central location made it easy to return to the hotel for lunch or a break. My only negative comment is that our room on the 4th floor was apparently an attic in it's former days. My 6' tall husband could only stand up straight in about 1/3 of our very small room as we were under the rafters of the roof. The rafters were actually padded to prevent guests from knocking their heads on the beams. The bathroom was updated and clean, though small. We understood from our friends staying on the 3rd floor that their room had a normal ceiling height and ample room. I would love to stay here again, just not on the 4th floor!
