“YES to FAST FOOD!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

If you are looking for middle eastern food that is fresh and made the way you like it at very reasonable prices, this is the place. I went when the owner was busy and yet he took his time explaining things and letting me taste the dressings. He is very personable and will explain how he came to start the business. There are tables outside and enjoy people watching. This is not a sit down restaurant with waiter service and an extensive menu, but for the type of food and establishment it is, it can't be beat.

“Great fresh food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

This place is worth a stop. The owner was very friendly, excellent service, and made your order right in front of you. Best food value in QC.

“Lived up to its rating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We went here with high expectations after reading some of the reviews and our expectations were pleasantly exceeded. The mom and son owners were amazingly friendly and helpful when it came to allegies, showed us how they cook the fresh dough on the spot - really unique personal charm. We said to each other that this may have been one of our best meals since being in Quebec (and we had some great food in Montreal) and are heading back today for more.

...because this place is better than the hype!

Beautiful, fresh mix of delicate French influence on a Lebanese favourite!

“Great food, super location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

After a long morning of touring both the Upper Town and the Lower Town, we headed for a late lunch at La Gallette Libanaise, three blocks outside the St. Louis Gate at 641 Grande Allee est. TripAdvisor had recommended it, highly, and it lived up to its billing. Although it featured deli-style counter service, on its terrace tables cozied each other under the trees. The menu was simple: gallettes (pita wraps) with a choice of eight fillings, including falafel and smoked salmon with spinach. We chose lamb with a side of couscous salad and a Diet Coke. In addition to well-seasoned fillings with fresh veggies and tahini sauce, what transported this out of the ordinary realm of fast food was that the pita rounds were made on the spot, pulled fresh from the oven one at a time. Our gallette was big enough for both of us, packed so full that we had to pass it between us, since it was too thick to cut.
