“Wonderful B&B close to Old Quebec”

Bed & Breakfast Au Croissant de Lune

I found this B&B from TripAdvisor reviews and loved it! I stayed in Quebec City for 4 nights but could only get 2 nights here since they were fully booked. The hosts showed gracious hospitality, the breakfast was sumptuous, and the room clean and quaint, facing a terrace. The location is great, right off Saint Jean Street and very close to Old Quebec. I wish I could have stayed the whole 4 nights there. I will definitely go back there next time I visit Quebec City.

“Great place to stay in Quebec City”

My teenage son and I recently spent 2 nights at this B&B. We were in the green room (attic) since it had 2 beds. It was very nice and we were glad it was air conditioned as Quebec City was having an unusual mid June heat wave (upper 80s). The location was terrific. The breakfasts were great too. We got lucky and found a parking spot right in front of the B&B for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Au Croissant de Lune and highly recommend it to everyone!

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Croissant de Lune. Delicious, healthy and filling breakfasts (fruits, crepes, eggs, toast). Charming rooms with nice touches (water refreshed each day at the bedside, fresh soap and towels and your bed made at the end of the day). We stayed in the green room and enjoyed the extra space (sitting room) and quiet.

Location was great. Still in the charming part of town, but a 3 block walk from the intensely touristy area of the walled city. We were near "local" restaurants and pubs, that were active until late in the evening. We recommend The Hobbit and their terrasse for a lunch and blanche beer in the sun.

We were lucky to be there by ourselves for the last two nights. The first night there was another couple staying which made waiting for the bathroom a strategic listening exercise. Sharing the bathroom with 2 other couples (6 adults total) could be challenging, although others on this site have said it was no problem.

Enjoy beautiful Quebec City! Take the ferry (as a walk on passenger) to Levi and enjoy the view.

I add my voice to those recommending this B&B. The hosts are wonderful, English fluent, the breakfasts are quite good, the location is great -- near the tourist areas, but a few blocks away from the bustling tourist hotels. My cabbie had a hard time finding the place, though; it's on a small street a block off of St. Jean.

There are only three rooms, so sharing a bathroom wasn't a problem.

In short, I have no reservations at all in giving this B&B the highest recommendation.

This is a wonderful, affordable bed and breakfast located in the Faubourg Saint-Jean neighborhood, just outside the walls of the old city. The rooms were comfortable and the shared bathroom posed no problem since this B&B only has three rooms. Breakfasts were gourmet with crepes, omelettes, and French toast amongst other choices.

All the sites of the old city are within easy walking distance, but located in an authentic neighborhood away from most tourists and conventioneers. Au Croissant de Lune is located a block away from Saint-Jean Street which is lined with shops, restaurants, and bars. There are excellent epicurean markets, boulangeries (bakeries), and ice cream/candy shops within a three block walk. The stores serve the neighborhood and not tourists, so they are authentic and of great quality. A real Québécois experience can be had buying fresh local foods, in the friendly stores. Not everyone in Quebec is fluent in English, but everyone was helpful upon asking "Parlez-vous Anglais?" All encountered knew sufficient English to facilitate our transactions.

I would highly recommend this B&B for couples or single tourists. The owners provide warm hospitality and are very helpful providing excellent sightseeing suggestions and insight.
