We went to QC for my husbands 60th birthday. He loves French food and QC is almost like being in France. So we went to a very expensive French restaurnat the first night, Le st amour. And that was good, but certainly not great. They overcooked 2 items my husband got, the foi gras and the sweetbreads. Not enough to send them back, but they were over done
At l'affaire everything was spot on. John had sweetbreads again that were perfect. And I had a pork shank that was drop dead tender, yummy. My only thing about that was nothing noteworthy on a sauce with the shank. I had had a pork shank a. Couple weeks before at the Town Hill Bistro in Mt Desert, ME that was yummier because of the sauce they served with it.
At l'affaire , We had a chocolate fudge brownie for dessert that was really really good and decadent .
They also hooked us up with a nice white burgundy that was dirt cheap. We were totally amazed at the prices. It was a Huge bargain for what we received. They do an excellent job turning out great food from a little tiny kitchen. It was amazing.
