“Great experience! Highly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We booked this hotel using Travelzoo Vouchers and what a steal that was!It was a terrific value: great location- walking distance to major attractions/sites in Old Quebec, courteous and helpful staff, good sized room with very interesting touches such as installed glass displays of historic artifacts by each room number! The washroom had both shower and bath. We didn't have a good view but we were not concerned too much since the room itself felt very intimate, chic and luxurious ( btw, we stayed in the lowest room category). Valet parking was included as well as bell man service. Quebec City is a romantic destination in itself and this hotel is a great addition if you are headed for a honeymoon/special occasion ( like ours-engagement). There was also a nice, well equipped fitness room and spa. We didn't get a chance to use it though. Overall i would stay in this hotel again if I came across a Travelzoo voucher again- it's a great value for a true 5 star hospitality!

Fantastic family experience at this top notch hotel. Genevieve on the concierge desk looked after all the details to ensure we had a very memorable trip. We especially enjoyed the special personal touches. The new year's eve package included a horse carriage ride through old Quebec city in the afternoon, an outstanding 6 course meal in hotel restaurant Panache, followed by fireworks, champagne and dancing - a perfect way to ring in the new year. The shuttle to nearby ski hills picked us up nearby, so were able to work off some of the fabulous french cuisine. Hotel is pricey, but worth every penny!

Room Tip: Our suite had a queen in a separate sleeping room from living space with pull out couch. 1 large fla...

It is easy to see how much thought has gone into the planning, policies and training of the staff at this Hotel. To be specific: Free internet access that is BLAZING fast!; A/V access for all manner of devices built into the desk (I linked my laptop to the bigscreen tv while working one morning, connected my tablet to the tv and was able to stream a tv show from Google; attached my ipod to the Bose speakers in the room and was able to listen to music,) heated floors, extra towels/linens under the sink...
Staff was impeccable and most important EASILY accessible concierge with great non-touristy recommendations for activities and food as well as fantastic communication via email (which we requested) and coordination of all transportation/tickets etc... TRUST them they know what they are doing!
LOVED the bar area with the fireplace nooks! And the bar food menu and drink menu were exceptional.
Have to disagree with other readers... We had NYE dinner at Panache, Sunday Brunch and a breakfast there and we found the food and service to be great (would give it a solid "A") but we felt the rest of the facility and staff were "A+"... maybe being picky but it could be a victim of it's own success (all locals seemed to know about Panache) and getting a little soft....
We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again and overall cannot say enough about the ownership and the fabulous job they have done!

Room Tip: Facing the St Lawrence was amazing! Beds were NOT as great as we had read on TA... we found them to...

This hotel, set in the Lower Town of Old Quebec, deftly combines modern styling with the antiquities found on the property while creating this wonderful hotel. The location is excellent for wandering the streets of this mostly pedestrian zone. All the best restaurants are located within an easy five minute walk from the hotel. The room we stayed in was comfortable, elegant and modern all at the same time. We took the Bed and Breakfast combination and it is a must! For just a few extra dollars we ate all our breakfasts at the hotel's restaurant Panache, arguably the best place to eat in Quebec City. And this is no ordinary affair. You can order anything you wish off the breakfast menu and as much as you like...Don't miss out on the bowl of latte and the French toast.
The staff is so helpful and attentive. Special thanks to our concierge Evelyn and our manager Martin for making our stay fantastic. When our flight home was delayed for 2 days due to weather Martin let us stay in our room and even reduced the rate with the same amenities by $50. Evelyn never tired of my questions and offers of recommendations throughout our 6 night stay. She is a gem.
Because we were there during the Christmas holidays the hotel put out yummy snacks from Panache each evening and even had a server offering hot mulled wine or hot chocolate on one cold evening.
I was so happy with our choice of this wonderful property and would definitely return here if the occasion presented itself.

Very warm welcome, though we were early. They took our number as we went to lunch, and soon we received a call to say our room was ready. While the view was of a rooftop, the room was very nice, large bath tub, dual shower heads. The lighting creates any mood you might like. Very comfortable bed. Outstanding service from the concierge.

For our honeymoon we went to Quebec City. From start to finish this hotel was amazing!!! The building was easy to find. The valet's were attentive and courteous. The front desk was professional. The room was extremly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in a hotel. Location, location, location!!!! Perfect for within walking distence to restraurants and shops. I would highly recommend a stay at the Aubrerge Saint-Antoine because it was worth the relaxing experience.

Just got back from a four night stay. What an exceptional hotel, staff, and overall experience. We stayed in one of the Maison Hunt rooms (Captine's Suite) and it may have been the nicest room we've ever been in.

A few highlights of our room... Beautiful hardwood wide-board floors, vaulted ceilings with thick wood beams, two bathrooms - one with a claw-foot tub and another with a large, separate stand up shower, the (very comfortable) queen bed is built into one of the corners of the room with a great headboard and TV, a very large couch/seating area (room for 5 people to sit) with a good sized wooden dining table and a second TV... a nice kitchenette area with a mini fridge, toaster, sink (some frying pans, plates, etc) and a great n'espresso coffee maker.... there are also 3 different heating zones. 1 for the bathroom and 2 others.

Trust me, when you walk into this place you will be impressed.

Two things to note... it's a tad bit dark in the room at first, but you get used to it and actually appreciate it after a day... It's such a relaxing room. And the second, this room does require you to walk up a flight of stairs. It feels like you are up on a floor by yourself... didn't hear a single sound the entire time!

So, that's the room... now for Panache. We ate here a few times but only for breakfast.... but wow. Be careful if you choose the French toast as nothing else will ever compare. Everything is great here... I don't think the atmosphere could be any better. The chairs are so comfortable and the service is so perfect you will not want to leave. The prices are a bit high ($20 for French toast) but it's worth it. (Note my tip at the end of this review though...)

The name of the bar is slipping my mind, but it's a great place as well. There are two small side rooms with fireplaces... be sure to check them out.

and for the service... from the moment we pulled up to the door to the second we left, every single person was kind, friendly and happy. Everyone truly seemed to want to help. This is something that is lacking in most places these days... the change caught us off guard but it was so welcomed. Reception, concierge, service, waitstaff... all exceptional.

And location... Very nice location. It's right next door to the The Musée de la civilization. There are a handful of nice places to eat within 2 blocks... (great for the winter!) We tried a few but overall didn't feel any of them were outstanding. L'Echaude was probably the best. There are also a number of art galleries within a few blocks. A 5 minute walk will get you up the wall to shopping, the toboggan ride, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, etc etc.

The hotel itself is also so nice... we were there just before Christmas, so it was decorated for the season.

So all of this made 4 days of temps between 0 and 15 (F) enjoyable and very relaxing.

One tip I have to mention... We booked this room through the Visa Signature Hotels site which covered breakfast everyday, valet parking, $25 bar credit, VIP service, room upgrade... which is an absolutely incredible deal. If you can get it through your Visa card I would high recommend doing it.

Room Tip: Get the Captine's Suite!!!
