By the time we got to Restaurant Table (took a little work to figure out it was in a hotel), we were quite tired from a long day spent at Carnavale and the Old Town.
While I was a little concerned reading about some of the reviews regarding service, I found our waiter to be quite attentive and helpful. The real reason we go to restaurants is for the food and Table did not disappoint. There was a tremendous selection of tapas-style dishes and since we were with another couple, the recommendation to order 3 plates each was how we proceeded.
Portion sizes were very good for the plates and certainly 2 plates each may have sufficed depending on the dish and how hungry you are but presentation and flavours were terrific. The haddock tempura, while very tasty, was not tempura in the truest sense with respect to batter but the accompanying sauce complimented it well. The lamb burger, mushroom pot pie, lasagna rolls, Mom's mac n' cheese and homestyle fries rounded out my wife's and my selections. All were cooked exquisitely.
We ended the meal with the fresh churros (a restaurant specialty) with salted caramel and chocolate sauces. The sauces were sublime and the churros hot and crunchy. The dessert served as a perfect end to a wonderful meal. This restaurant is not cheap and were it not for the tempura batter, I would likely give it 4.5 stars.
