We stayed two nights at Manoir de l'Esplanade in Québec city with my girl friend and we certainly can recommend it. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean, the continental breakfast is good. On top of this the location is excellent within the old city. We stayed in a room facing the courtyard with one queen size bed. The room or bathroom weren't very big, but clean and otherwise good. We asked for a quiet room and got one. The free internet in the lobby helped us plan our trip onwards from Québec city.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you want a nice small hotel, with good value for money and a central location.

Great little spot found on Trip Advisor - furnishings are simple but location is perfect within the old city walls, totally quiet which we didn't expect for the location and spotlessly clean. Ideal!

We had a wonderful stay here at the L'Esplanade. The location is ideal right at the front gate entrance into the walls of quebec City. The hotel was within walking distance to everything from the Funiculaire to the Citadel. We felt very at home in our spacious room with a wonderful view of the front gate. The owners of the hotel were very friendly. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here while visiting Quebec City.

From the time we checked in, to the time we left, this lovely hotel made our trip to Quebec City perfect. The owners are very kind, friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was ample and the rooms were meticulous, with old-charm and character. The price was also reasonable, but the main feature is definitely the location. You are only 2 minutes from the Chateau Frontenac, restaurants, bars and museums!
