“Excelent Little Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

It worth every cent, i think there's no better option. The location its great, the people at the desk always nice, i enjoy very much my time there. The room its really small, but that really doesn't matter, i travel a lot and this wasn't a problem at all, in comparison to biggest rooms in other hotels.

Room Tip: I stayed 3 days and the breakfast was always the same, maybe you would like to search for near resta...

Dear Mrpeperonil,

Thank you very much for sharing your stay with us on Trip Advisor!

We are very proud to read such positive feedback on the value we are offering to our guests. We work hard to offer the best value possible and it is always nice to receive feedback encouraging us in this way.

As our hotel has been classified as a historic building and has 30 inches thick stonewalls, we did our best to optimize the size of our rooms with these legal and technical restrictions. We always think about ideas to improve storage spaces.

Our location is definitely very convenient as it is walking distance from most of the attractions of our lovely city! We are glad to read you enjoyed it!

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back!

Best Regards,

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Hotel Le Priori for my birthday weekend and had the most amazing time. The hotel is in a great location - we walked everywhere and the parking is only 2 blocks away from the hotel. The room was well appointed, clean and spacious and we had a view of the river from our room. Breakfast in Toast was fantastic. The best part about the hotel was the staff. Everyone we encountered at the desk and the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. I work in hotels and this is one of the reasons why I chose Hotel Le Priori for our first time in Quebec City. From the moment I made the reservation to the time we departed the hotel, the level of service we received was outstanding. We didn't want to be in a large hotel, but still wanted a place with nice service and great rooms and this was the perfect choice. The staff even acknowledged my birthday and made our stay very special. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay there agian!

If you're visiting Old Quebec, stay at Le Priori. It is perfectly situated in lower Quebec city, the staff are friendly and helpful, the complementary breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are BEAUTIFUL.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Le Priori for our honeymoon in February. We eloped to Quebec City, and stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for the night before and after our elopement ceremony there, but it was the Hotel Le Priori that was the truly luxurious, romantic experience that we were looking for in Old Quebec.
We stayed in the "Junior Spa Suite," and it was INCREDIBLE. We spent each evening in the Jacuzzi overlooking the snow-covered roofs of la ville basse, with a beautiful glimpse of the St. Laurence from the balcony itself. We also spent a cold, wet night in watching a 3D movie from our bed, and another evening in front of the wood-burning fireplace--the hotel provided a 4-hour composite fire log, no extra cost. Each morning we had breakfast downstairs, which is complementary, and delicious: scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, ham, croissants, freshly-baked muffins and breads, juice, coffee, and hot chocolate, and fresh fruit. Each day we also spent a bit of time on the second floor of the suite reading in bed: the second floo is a loft space with beautiful views of the city and the river; it opens onto the balcony; it has a large daybed covered in cushions, a tv, and a heater to keep you toasty warm. And its just steps away to your own private hottub on the balcony!

The service from the staff was lovely. When we checked in, the upstairs bedroom of the suite (with two walls covered in windows giving a view of old quebec, and the jacuzzi on the balcony) was toasty warm--ready in case we wanted to jump in the hot tub right away. We were also gifted with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon-- a lovely gesture.

So, definitely a 5-star experience!

Room Tip: Book the Junior Spa Suite for your own private hottub! It's well worth the price in winter!

Dear Elle K,

Thank you very much for your exhaustive review on Trip Advisor!

We are delighted to read your honeymoon at Le Priori will be remembered! It is very encouraging for our staff to read such nice words about our service and our Junior Suite with Spa! This suite is definitely one of our most exciting rooms. Its private spa on a balcony with a tremendous view on Place Royale is unique in Quebec City!

It is very appreciated you took time to enumerate some little touches we are working on to make the stay of our guests a great experience! I am glad to read you liked our breakfast. We want all our guests to start the day on a great note, taking as much energy as they wish to walk in our lovely city!

Your recommendation is a true reward for us, thank you very much!

We will be more than happy to welcome you back to celebrate your first wedding anniversary!

We stayed for two nights at Le Priori. Went there with our four yr old daughter. We loved our room. We took the Suite and it was very spacious (like a loft) and modern looking. The beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet. The location is amazing.
Another positive thing about this hotel is Tania, at the front desk. She was helpful and very nice and patient. She gave us suggestions and directions. However the person that replaced her one evening wasn't as nice...
The breakfast was good, but i found it didnt have a great selection ( fruits, cereal, etc.) especially for kids.

Dear Raffy31,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us on Trip Advisor!

We are very happy to read you have enjoyed your family stay in our Newtone suite! We are really concerned about quietness and it is very encouraging for us to read you found your suite peaceful. We are very proud of our ideal location: we are close to the main attractions of our lovely city but in a quiet neighbourhood.

I am sorry to read you were not completely satisfied with our complimentary breakfast. We try to offer a selection to satisfy everyone’s needs with hot and cold dishes: sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, homemade muffins and granola bars, 3 different kinds of breads, croissants, 6 different kinds of fruits and homemade jams. We do have two different kinds of cereals. I will be happy to pass on the information about this item to our chef to select a third one for our young guests!

We thank you for your feedback and hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again!

Best Regards,

this is a beautiful hotel in a great spot, especially if you are a food lover. Great restaurants all in the area that are to die for. right across the street which is about 6 steps is an italian place called Il Matto. Great italian food and wine. Great people and service. Very authentic italian food, delicious. We also tried Le 48. This is a great restaurant if you like appetizers. they come with 3 or 4 apps on a plate from different regions of the world. My husband and I had an app each and their homemade soup which was FANTASTIC! Very nice dinner, didn't feel stuffed after. then our last night we went to SSS. All in the same area, 2 minute walk. We had steak, fantastic, again. the Hotel recommended all the restaurants and we loved everyone of them. we also tried a pub called Pub Saint-Alexandre on Rue Saint-jean. Great pub food, the best burgers and fries, service was amazing. Small pub so worth the wait to sit if it is busy. Tried D'Orsay for lunch the next day and the food was cold, service was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Looks good from the outside but that's it. the Hotel is located outside of the wall in behind the Chateau Frontenac. Very close to everything, 15min. walk to old town. Close to the water, very beautiful and the hotel rooms are nothing fancy but rustic and cozy. Besides you won't be in the rooms often, Quebec is beautiful and lots to see. I would definately recommend this Hotel and the restaurants. There is a hidden treasure at this Hotel. In behind the hotel they have a garden terrace that is beautiful even in the winter so I would assume it is even more beautiful in the summer. Check that out!

Room Tip: They also have suites in the back of the hotel that are beautiful. High season is February and July...

Our stay at Hotel Le Priori over President's Day week end was fantastic. First of all, the location is ideal, in the middle of the cobblestone streets of the Vieux Port and within a few minutes walking distance of the Petit Champlain. The hotel itself was amazing too. We stayed in a suite (302) in the back of the building, overlooking the courtyard. The suite has stone walls and wood beams, a very modern spa bathroom, a perfect combination of modern and cozy. There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room for early birds. Breakfast was plenty and of good quality (bacon, eggs, cereals, fresh fruit, homemade jams, peanut butter, etc...), located in the main building's restaurant Toast. Parking is available a couple of blocks from the hotel - they give you a card to access it and charge you at the end of the stay.
But the best feature of the hotel is the staff - they go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect during the stay, and are incredibly friendly. At the end of our stay we had an issue with one of our dog sledding reservations and even though the reservation was not made through the hotel, Tanya at the front desk spent time trying to fix it, re-booking another reservation for us and letting us go back to our room even though we had already checked out, given that the rebooked reservation was for many hours later. She was our "hotel angel" and saved the day!

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with suite 302
