“nothing forgotten”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

We just had 3 nights at this lovely hotel and I felt that nothing was missing from the
whole experience; they thought of every little thing. One of the nicest places we
have ever stayed. Position, position, small intimate hotel- lovely breakfast included
each morning . Nothing too much trouble for the staff at the front desk.
Made our visit to Quebec city absolutely perfect. Thank you

Very good location, right near the old port, shops and restaurants. Very nice staff. We stayed in a suite, spacious and wonderful bathroom. In addition to large walk-in shower the bathroom included a jetted tub, great for relaxing after walking all day. Fireplace, mini-frig and coffee maker in room. We used the free wi-fi and it worked well. Nice sofa and chairs for friends to gather in the living area. The only complaint I had was that the mattress was too soft, it was a pillow-top that had been turned over, which I take as a sign that it needs to be replaced (but for this, it would be a 5).
The breakfast that is included is great as is the service. Scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage, bacon and ham, cheese and yogurt, breads, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee/tea.

I booked a room at the hotel Le Priori to celebrate my first year anniversary with my girlfriend in style.

We had the duplex suite (#401) which has 2 stories with a spiral staircase leading up to a second floor where you'll find an amazing view and a balcony with a jacuzzi on it. The first floor has a fireplace (with an easy to start long lasting artificial log!) and an amazing bed. I thought I had back problems before sleeping in this bed and being healed, realizing that the bed at home is the problem.

The location is top notch, as close to everything as you can be and directly in the old port. The manager Erwan is an absolute gem. He will not only take care of you, but he will do it while sincerely having your best interests at heart. The rest of his staff reflects this as well as they are all handpicked and will make you feel like you're dealing with friends, not strangers.

The included breakfast buffet is amazingly fresh and generous. Home made muffins, croissants and granola bars will give you energy for a nice day exploring the town. The eggs were incredibly creamy and you will definitely end up trying everything available. (they make the peanut butter and it is divine).

Overall, Le Priori was as much part of our Quebec experience as the town itself and you should look no further for an unforgettable experience.

Well-situated in the heart of the old port, a few paces from lots of interesting restaurants (try Piazetta Vieux Port for pizza or Le Saint-Amour for posh French food). Suites are well-appointed, wifi is free, and apart from a shortage of sockets for the alarm clock and laptop (the power pint by the desk has a phone plugged into it), everything works well. Rooms are quiet and well-insulated from the dining room, and the only noise to wake me up the first night was the fridge which cycled on and off every hour (fixed by unplugging it each night). The second night the noisy plumbing was in evidence, with extreme water hammer every time anyone used the toilet, as our neighbour did at half past midnight - someone fix a pressure valve or arrestor before our next visit please. Breakfast, included in the price, was excellent, including perfect scrambled eggs (not the congealed overcooked stuff some hotel buffets provide) as well as the usual fruit and breads.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor to avoid noisy footfalls above

The Hotel is in a nicely restored heritage building in the old quarter of Quebec in a beautiful street lined with similar buildings. Its close enough to the main attractions without being too busy. The staff of the hotel are extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very light and comfortable. One criticism is that the bathroom is very small and the basin is located outside of the bathroom which is odd. With breakfast included it is very good value. The attached fine dining restaurant Toast ! is also well worth trying with highly creative dishes, as is the related restaurant SSS down the road which is more conventional but good value.

Dear andharv,

Thank you very much for posting a review on Trip Advisor!

Your kind words about our team have been passed on! Your nice comments about our breakfast and our rooms are very appreciated. Space is a prized commodity in Old Quebec and we are studying other options to include the sink in the bathroom without altering the spirit of our rooms.

We work hard to offer the best value possible to our customer and it is always nice to receive feedback encouraging us in this way.

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you soon!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel for two nights during our French Canada anniversary trip. We stayed in the junior suite with it's own private balcony and spa. It was so nice to come home after dinner and sip wine in the bubbles. The room was well appointed and modern in design.

The staff of the hotel were very friendly, the hot breakfast was declicious, and the location in old Quebec perfect for touring on foot.

Would highly recommend. I wish we would have booked a few more nights there.

Room Tip: ask for the junior suite with spa

A warm welcome and an early check in were so appreciated after thirty hours travelling. The junior suite was chic and fitted with all the things that make hotel room feel like home; comfortable bed, good bedside lights, luxurious duvet, kitchenette and a huge 3d TV. ( Okay, so maybe the last is better than home!) And best of all was the bath and shower which was perfect for a disabled user. We loved pretty Quebec and the friendless there. And we loved Le Priori and the warm courtesy of the staff. Thank you for a superb stay.
