I stayed here during Carnaval for a combination work/vacation trip. The lobby to the hotel is very modern and minimalist. It's very black and white with lots of smooth polished surfaces. Location-wise, it is in the St-Roch district and about a 20 minute uphill walk to Old Quebec. It's not inconveniently located, but if you want to be really close to all the touristy sights and activities, this probably isn't the place to be. Price-wise, it was about what I expected a place like this to cost. It was a bit more expensive on the weekend, but I'd say the weekday rate is good value.
This hotel had a lot of teenagers travelling with the S-trip tour group staying there. The teenagers were there on the weekend and were quite loud in the hotel common areas (lobby and elevators) but it appeared the staff made a big effort to minimize the disruption to other guests. I believe this was the reason we ended up with a room on the 18th floor (top floor). We had a view of the city looking south, which didn't show anything exciting but it was nice to have a view of something.
The rooms are also very modern and minimalist with not a lot of furniture besides the beds, a built in desk and night table and one chair. The rooms contrast with the lobby as they are all done in white. I sometimes find this style to be very cold, but instead I just found it to be bright in there and I liked the little touches of orange they put to liven things up. I found the bed to be comfortable and I had a good sleep. The beds are of modern design and so are rather low. They are also quite soft, but I found it to my liking.
The bathroom was very nice, also done in black and white and very modern design. We had good water pressure and thick towels. I read in the reviews that some rooms only come with a shower stall, but the bathroom in this double room on the 18th floor had a full bathtub.
The hotel has a restaurant/bar located in the downstairs. We went there for breakfast. The prices are on the higher side for breakfast. Presentation was nice and the food was good, but not exceptional. There is free espresso/cappuccino in the lobby of the hotel and that was a nice touch. There were also cookies or other treats put out daily on the counter.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. We couldn't hear the other guests at night, including the teenagers. I would stay here again.
