“Nice small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

I stayed three nites recently and enjoyed this place very much. Had a nice room with good bed and a/c and view of the petanque court and Vieux Port market. Well priced for the city and not far from St Roch, the upper city, and Petit Champlain.

A great find in a city we knew nothing about. The price was very good and the location was wonderful. The staff were helpful offering a map of the area and marking all places we wanted to see. The room was large, clean and the internet was good. We were on the 2nd floor on the back side of the hotel, nice and quiet. The parking was great. We walked to Old Quebec City and had a wonderful night stroll down the St. Lawrence River area. Breakfast was limited but restaurants were very close.

Hotel Belley is very well located in Old Quebec City. Comfortable clean rooms with A/C. Can be a little be noisy if you choose rooms on the lower level. There's a bar downstairs with a very nice ''terrasse'' that gets crowded everyday; excellent to meet with the locals.
Parking is not included (10-12$ a day), this might be the only downer...

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on the upper level

We stayed at Hotel Belly for 3 nights during part of our Honeymoon. We stayed in a room on the first floor, which was very spacious with three windows, a reading/lounging nook, a desk, and other things. The bed was fine, though didn’t feel like the sturdiest thing. The bathroom was a good size, though the shower was a bit small and had a low ceiling. Downstairs there is a bar/café with a pool table. Apparently they do offer light breakfast options, though we did not partake in that. Location is wonderful from the train station (about a 5 minute walk) and is on the corner of Rue St. Paul, which has lots of antique shops and is about a 5 minute walk into the old port area of town. We had a great experience staying here – we felt very safe and comfortable – and would definitely recommend it.

Hotel Belley was exactly what we needed for an amazing road trip to Quebec City. The location was convenient and walkable to nearby restaurants etc. Hotel staff was hospitable and welcoming. Room 224 was just right. This is going to be my new hangout ssssssshhhh.

I agree with all those positive reviews below. Room 113 was charming: we didn't want to check out. I would like to add that the staff, at reception, in the bar, in housekeeping were all so friendly and helpful that we felt quite welcome. It was so nice to spend a couple of hours among the hordes in Upper Quebec, and then return to our untouristy hotel with a relaxing glass of wine. A very good deal, indeed.
