“Good Hotel, Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2010

Having stayed at this property 10 years ago, we didn't hesitate to reserve again this year. You can't beat the location - ideally situated between upper and lower town, making it easy to go from one part of the city to another. This boutique-style hotel is very clean and comfortable, with amenities we never took advantage of (pool, spa, etc) Beds and pillows are amazing - we've never slept more comfortably! Our only complaint is that bistro attached to hotel no longer serves breakfast - a downside. However, Casse Crepe de Breton is located just next door and serves great food. In addition, Rue St. Jean (one of the facing streets for this corner-situated hotel) has many shops & restaurants, frequented by locals. Overall, Manoir Victoria is a great choice for your city stay

We did so much research to find the perfect place to stay, and with the help of Trip Advisor, came up with four choices. The Hotel Manoir Victoria was our 3rd choice, but happily, we chose it as our first. The rate was very good compared to others in the area, although due to the lack of parking, there was a daily charge for parking, but it was understandable. We were so surprised as we entered the hotel...it was beautiful inside, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Our room wasn't quite ready, so they upgraded us to a larger room for our stay. The room was large and comfortable, furnishings were very nice, room was amazingly clean, as was the entire hotel. The spa and pool were wonderful. The staff answered any questions regarding local and area destinations with great directions. Anyone considering a stay in Old Quebec City should consider this hotel. In Quebec, it's a lot of walking, but this was a great hotel to return to.

We just loved this hotel, from the moment we drove up to leaving everything was perfect. We didn't have the best drive in, road works and closures but as we pulled up near the hotel the staff approached us took our car and we headed off to check in.

The staff on check in were fantastic, really helpful and informative. We were upgraded to a superior room, free of charge and with their complements to welcome us to Quebec. The guy who checked us in was telling us about some of the trips we could do and when I mentioned I had booked from home he offered to ring the company to confirm our booking and ensure there were no problems.

The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean with big comfy beds. One of the best nights sleep Ive had. There was an in room safe which was a bonus too. Bathroom was well equipped and clean. We used the pool which again was great, clean and nice setting with hot showers, lockers and plenty of towels. Only had breakfast in the hotel once, the waiters were excellent and the food very good. All the staff made our son very welcome too.

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the walled city. Could not recommend this place highly enough, it was excellent.

The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. Room large and comfortable. Very nice buffet breakfast. They offered a discount at check-in on the breakfast. Good location and an easy short walk to all of the walled sections of the city. Their Bistro St James opens to the side street which becomes a pedestrian only street at night. Locals come to Rue St-Jean for the restaurants. Lobby area large, classy and comfy.

Me and my wife are fairly picky when it comes to hotels and we would give the Hotel Manoir Victoria close to a perfect score! The hotel was in very good condition, the rooms big and clean, well decorated, nice flat screen lcd TV, good HVAC, quiet, free wifi, good looking lobby, friendly responive staff, GREAT location and a very nice pub downstairs with a good selection of beer and wine and a good pub food. My wife had breakfast one morning in the main restaurant and didn't think it was that great but that's about the only negative. but a minor one as there must be 20 if not 40 restaurants with in a 5 minute walk in any direction. Get out and explore the city! Would definately put this at the top of the list for hotels in Quebec City.

This hotel was perfectly located steps from Rue St. Jean inside the walls of Quebec City. The parking garage was right next door. The neighborhood felt very safe and felt like a living part of the city. This hotel was very clean and well decorated. Not over the top. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The staff was always very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a comfortable one. We didn't like the first room given us because the view was outer walls. I requested a different room and with no problem was given one on a higher floor with a great view. Bernard gave us great tips on dining and viewing the Image Mill.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room, grand luxury, spacious, hotel staff were exceptional. You can tell by the staff that this hotel is well run. Special thanks to Rooms Manager Francois Bedard who went beyond his obligation to intercede for me with travel company to make reservation changes, especially as they were being obstinate. The restaurant food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Yes it has the famous 23 steps but the staff are always on hand to help. This was a very busy time for the staff but they never showed the stress. i would recommend this hotel, centrally located, period stlye, very quaint. Well done everybody and thank you for your courtesy,we had an enjoyable stay with you.
