“I recommend this hotel for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Two ladies taveling together and we opted to stay at the Manoir Victoria. Could not have been in a better area and the price was excellent. Right next door was a 24hr coffee shop always busy and just 1/2 block to the main street. The staff were always cheerful and friendly and told us that we could go on the main street and go to the street past the bus terminal (1/2mile) and catch bus 800 out to Montmercy falls for $3 versus $40 for a guided tour--believe me--you will be glad you paid the $3. The hotel room was on the 3rd floor and had two queen beds with plenty of room in between--two very comfy chairs and small table, work desk, refrigerator and great flat screen TV. The beds were so comfy!! Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Don't forget your bathing suit as they have a very nice pool in the basement as well as a spa. Breakfast is not included but there are great restaurants for an $8 breakfast near the visitor center just another 1/2 mile away (you want to go there as it is by the river and the list down to old town).

Room Tip: 6th floor is great if they don't have a convention in town as you can see the river--3rd floor w...

My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Manoir Victoria for 7 days in October 2013. The location is perfect if you want to explore Old Quebec. We were in walking distance to everything! You could walk to the convention center easily in about 10 minutes if you desired, which my husband did. There are many restaurants around and the one in the hotel was amazing. We had two fantastic meals there. The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean.
Another bonus for us was that it was in walking distance to the Via Rail station.
Would stay there again for sure.

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Old Quebec. The best part was that we were able to park our car in the hotel garage and not have to take it out once. There is much to see and it is all within walking distance. Warning, there is a full flight of stairs into the hotel, and I did not see an elevator. The front desk staff at the hotel was not warm or welcoming. However, the maid and the doormen were excellent which made up for what the front desk was lacking. The room was beautiful, beds comfortable, and very clean. The view from our room was pretty bad, a brick wall, and right across from an office cafe. If you have children, don't get excited about the pool because it is about the size of a spa. They are limited on space, but it is in an old city so it is crammed between other buildings. There is a restaurant on site, but not our taste in food. There are a lot of choices close by. I would definitely stay there again. If you do need to go to your car, the valet is more than happy to take you.

Everything about the hotel was first class. Couldn't find anything to fault it. Staff very helpful, location very central, enjoyed the visit and would stay there again if we go back to Quebec, which is a wonderful city.

As part of a 2 week visit to Canada, this was our stop on days 3 & 4. Wonderfully positioned within the old city walls. Very well appointed and as with all Canadian beds, very comfortable. Good quality breakfast. Only down side was that, despite being "residents" we couldn't be accommodated in the restaurant and had to scrabble round the city to find somewhere to eat. Luckily it was good quality.

We spent two nights at this lovely hotel during our fall trip to Canada 2013. Charm of old days but modern in every way. It was an easy walk right in the walled city and everyone, everyone, front desk and door man could not have been more helpful. We did not eat there but it boasts of a lovely breakfast and restaurant. It has a pretty swimming pool which is hard to find in the city. Parking is attached, not a bit of trouble. Price was a bit high but well worth it for a special trip.

I spent a week at this hotel in September. The best part is the location, centrally situated in vieux Quebec, walking distance to everywhere and close to St Jean and all of the the tourist areas in this wonderful city. The lobby is nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are hit and miss. Originally, I had a broom closet which had a small window, quite clausterphobic. As I was staying for a week, I asked for and was granted a change to a double-bed room- with a bigger window and more space.
Frankly, what struck me about this hotel was how dark it was, in the rooms, hallways and meeting rooms. The elevators were painfully slow and the stairway on the north side didn't lead to the rez chausse (ground floor). Apart from the main lobby, the decor was dated and uninviting although the facade was traditional for that part of town.

The beds were reasonably comfortable and the rooms were clean. I suspect that the carpets had not been cleaned for awhile as I ended up with a cold and fever and many of my colleagues complained about the dust.

The walls between the rooms were paper thin- so you could hear the conversation next door and the slamming of doors in the evening and morning. Not the most relaxing situation.

The absolute best part of this hotel was the restaurant located on the ground floor- Chez Boulay. Exquisite.

Would I stay again? Probably not- there are better choices in this lovely city!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a double room- room 420-426 or 520 to 526. Some of the single rooms are extremel...
