loved the shoppes, especially glass shoppes, the bistros with outside dining. Taking a boat ride on the beautiful river!

“Quaint and charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

So quaint and lovely. We loved the old buildings and exploring the streets. Watched the glass blowers and were mesmerized. Loved the Place Royale and the little church there.

“nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

Lower town Quebec city is very nice, many different festivals happening in this area especially during the summer. You can buy snacks, drinks, etc....there are also small shops around so make sure you check it out.

“Lots of To-Do's in this Area !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

Basse-Ville (Lower Town) is all along the edge of the river. The port, bicycle and walker's boardwalk, access to the ferry and river cruise boats, and Petit Champlain district are all good reasons to check out this area of Quebec City. The Funicalaire lift can easily get you back up for only 2$. This section of town is a must if you plan on doing Vieux (Old) Quebec.

Of course it is touristy, but it is done so well. Read all the plaques you can.
