“History Lesson”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is where the French and English armies faced off and determined the fate on Canada. English won but you'll find that played down or ignored by today's Quebec residents. Great parkland space a with commanding views of St.Lawrence River. Open Air Ice rink and Winter Carnival activities here in mid-Feb.

“Wonderful park in the middle of Quebec City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

The Plains of Abraham are beautiful manicured; gardens are superb and the paths offer lengthy walks with marvelous views of the St. Lawrence River. You are a stroll away from the connecting walkway to Old Quebec and it is well worth the walk. The boardwalk passing the Hotel Frontenac is glorious, reminding one of Victorian times. Access to the old port is right in the square and an afternoon spent exploring the shops is a perfect pastime.

“Great presentation of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

It was starting to be really cold and snowy when I got to the park so I went to the Discovery Pavilion and explored the Odyssey Multimedia Presentation. It was a very unique way of presenting the history and significance of the Plains. Rather than just presenting a video, information was presented through video, characters, and even animatronic characters. It was a little cheesy at times, but it was also very engaging and interesting and a great way to make history come alive.
