“Quaint, clean and complete”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Stayed 3 nights in Sept 2013. Very impressed with the level of service, always pleasant and accommodating. Fabulous breakfast was included along with coffee, tea or cold drinks 24 hours a day.

Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Centrally located it was an easy walk to anywhere old Old Quebec City.

The hotel was a delightful surprise! Upon entering, the hotel first appears to be like a quaint bed and breakfast, doning a little sitting room with a fireplace and complimentary coffee and lemondade for the guests. This is no B & B. Our room was a large suite! It had a Living Room, with a second TV, a Dining Room complete with refrig and ultra modern coffee maker, and the bedroom, with TV, had an open design. Everything was top rate, clean and modern: bathrobes, toiletries, slippers, and a comfortable king size bed. The hotel's location is perfect, two blocks off the St. Lawrence and in walking distance to the entire city. Being in Quebec City was like being in France, but without the hastle of going to Europe. The staff were devoted to our service. A chef-made breakfast is included in the hotel price: omlettes or crapes, juice, fruit and coffee.
We recommend taking 3 tours: a cruise tour on the St. Lawrence River, a van tour to see the city, and a walking tour.

Room Tip: The hotel has four floors. Our room was on the top floor. No noise and a feeling of privacy.

We visited Quebec City in 2002 and for our return trip we tried to make reservations at the hotel where we stayed previously. Our stay would be for ten days and they could not accommodate us for all of the nights. I called Hotel St Pierre instead and was so lucky that Louise answered my call. She had a room available to our tastes and when I explained that we were having difficulty finding local private guides, she told me that she would take care of all that for us. She did indeed. We communicated via e-mail prior to our arrival and she arranged five excellent tours customized for us. She sent us restaurants recommendations based on our express tastes and made reservations for us for the first weekend nights. All the hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful but Louise was special. We were very pleased with our room. We like to walk and the hotel is conveniently located in the lower town from which we ventured to many different places. Our stay included a full breakfast every day with a great variety for all pallets. One waiter was especially notable. He always had a smile and everyone enjoyed his singing. We hope to return many times to Le Saint Pierre Auberge.

Really enjoyed this hotel! Rooms are more like a studio apartment, with cool elements like exposed brick. Definitely not cookie-cutter accommodations. Staff were friendly, breakfast was nice. Everything was clean and comfy. The pipes and such are a little noisy, as it is an old building, but that's a small price that comes with the character.

Was on a business trip and wanted a hotel that was centrally located in Old Quebec. This hotel fit the location bill perfectly and added many unexpectedly nice touches. The rooms were quite large and beautiful, with lots of exposed brick, differing layouts and kind of a quirky feel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect for walking anywhere in the old city. The bed was extremely comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel for any kind of travel experience.

Room was well equipped but not large, ideal for couple of nights. Bath robes welcome. Quiet location yet very convenient for a really wide choice of restaurants and shops or a walk to the river front and marina. Really liked having the complimentary coffee/tea maker in the ground floor lounge. Breakfast choice was good and plentiful but a little rushed. I think the dining room is small for the number of guests that stay and the staff are doing an amazing job to serve so many so quickly. All very helpful staff.

We went to Quebec City in late August. We drove from Toronto and pulled in at 1:30am. We called ahead to make sure our room was guaranteed for late arrival and it was all right. 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teens) ended up in a huge loft suite with a very comfortable king sized bed and a sofa bed (which my daughters claimed to be also very comfortable) We were on the ground floor besides the elevator with large windows overlooking a back (not dark) alley. Room was clean, it initially had some old wood smell but disappeared the next day because of the AC. I initially worried about noises because of the location of the room, but it was surprisingly quiet the whole time we were there. Yes, there was only a limited menu for breakfast, but what was lacked in choices was made up by quality and taste of the food. And also good service from the front desk and the breakfast staff. The only complaint (my daughter's complaint) was the faucet of the shower, which was on the blink of breaking. Other than that, it was a lovely hotel in a lovely town.
