“must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

wow..what a place to see - changing of guards & other activities a bit overrated if you have seen the ones in London you can skip unless you are a morning person and want to be there by 10.00 am when you are on vacation ... .

“It's Not London”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Long hike up to the Citadelle. We went to see the Changing of the Guards at 6:00 PM. Only 3 or 4 guards and no music. However, at 10 AM there are many more guards, a band and a goat mascot. More interesting to see so go in the morning. Free

Great view of QCITY and the st Laurence river.

The fort tour guide was very entertaining for both knowledge of history and place.

Without him, it would not be as interesting.

“Great views of Old Quebec”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

The citadelle of Quebec is a must for anyone visiting Quebec. The history of the 22nd regiment was very interesting and the museum of the founding of Quebec and its military ordeals with the Americans and British was interesting as well. I saw the changing of the guard for the royal 22nd regiment which is the only one in the Canadian military that takes all of their orders in French, so the entire changing of the guard was as well.

The views across the St. Lawrence river were great and the view of the Frontenac was spectacular.

I only skirted around this, but it is part of the cities ancient protection and has a lot of history. Recommended.
