Impressive falls only a short distance from Quebec City. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. We parked on the upper parking lot where there is a restaurant and restrooms. You walk along the cliff and over a bridge and then down a very long staircase to see the falls. There is also a lower parking lot that has easier access, but the walk and stairs were part of the adventure for us. There are several vending machines to buy water/drinks and two small carts along the walk to buy ice cream or snacks. The bridge crosses the top of the falls and has a great view out to the St. Lawrence River. Breeze and mist from the falls were refreshing on a hot day, but must be cold in the cooler months. Guided cliff climbing next to the falls and a cable car ride are also available. Park and picnic area behind the restaurant as well. When we returned from the falls we ate at one of the two restaurants on the property. We had a cheese and meat board that was excellent. Most were locally made products and the meal included a basket of rolls and butter. Yum!
