“Good coffee and cake, and efficient friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

After a long walk in the snow we needed coffee and cake, this place was perfect. Cramped but friendly seating in the European style, good Illy coffee, delicious cakes, warm, and with a bustling efficient friendly waiter. You order and pay at the counter, which after a long walk was a down-side for us, but everything else is just as we would have wanted.

And it has a coat rack which surprisingly many Canadian eateries seem not to have. It was good.

“A really lovely find in Montreal--on Peel St, near Sherbrooke”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We went here twice for breakfast on a recent stay at the Sofitel, on the doorman's recommendation. It is a cute little place for bagels or omelettes and coffee and also has a lunch menu and wine. A lovely atmosphere and very good food.

“Simple yet out of the ordinary place to eat. A must try!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

For breakfast, lunch and happy hours (tapas), you must try this place. It is small and casual, but food is exceptional and original. Can be pricy if you're not careful, but definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

“A wonderfull Hole in the Wall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Wow! wish they had places like that, in the middle of D/T Montreal, in the heart of shopping, advertising types, business environment, etc.. all the fast paced people. 15 feet wide and 100 feet long, chock-a-block full of people all enjoying good food, at a reasonable price. What else do you want in a city that has over 3,500 restaurants catering for your business.
Order your food, chose a table, pay for your meal and sit down, a great sandwich or meal with a wonderful salad will shortly be brought to you by a very courteous, self effacing waiter who suddenly appears to respond to any question or requirements, disappears and comes back in a few minutes with the answer.
Love it.
