I stopped in here after a jaunt around old Montreal. Let me preface my review by stating, I love Thai food and eat it often. I was seated near the bathrooms, which wreaked of mothballs(as another reviewer pointed out). I ordered a dish of tofu with peanut sauce, while my friend asked for sweet and sour shrimp. The food was horrendous. The peanut sauce was thick, seeming to have been scooped out of a Peter Pan jar. My friend's sweet and sour shrimp appeared to be a Chinese dish. Since when do Thai dishes include celery? Oh, and no pineapple? There was absolutely nothing "Tai" about these dishes. Additionally, the shrimp dish was quite spicy and after waiting a significant amount of time for the waiter to check on us, my companion explained that it was on the spicy side. Let me add that in most Thai restaurants, they ask what level of hot you would like. We were never asked this question, nor was there any indication of this consideration on the menu. Instead of accepting this, the waiter became argumentative. He even suggested that in the future she not order Thai dishes, due to their heat factor. Upon being told of her dissatisfaction, the manager also came by our table to argue and demanded to remake the dish. She declined politely, as from the beginning, we did not see it as a big deal. After all that, we sat waiting for our check for 20 minutes. Tai Natural's food was awful, but the behavior of its workers was plain atrocious. Do yourself a favor and run past this establishment, unless you want to waste your time and money on bad, faux Thai food and abhorrent customer service.
