I had such a great meal! The food was more than alright and the French-accended English of the waiter was just lovely.
If you don't go there for the food, come for the view. I am pretty sure I saw Donald Trump's yacht from here.

We arrived at the restaurant a Sunday and it was 12h45; the restaurant was only half full. Two men were in front of us and the person at the entrance of the restaurant asked if they got a reservation and they said no. He looked at is book and said it will take 5 min. Then he sees us and ask if we had a reservation and we said no. He looked at us and said it will take at least 45 min.... we said thank you and turn around and while doing that, I said loud enough so he could hear me: " it's obvious, they don't want kids or stroller"... and he said nothing. Let say that this is the restaurant of the museum, a museum where kids go a lot, not chic at all; no white tablecloth; and come on, Sunday afternoon, what do you expect? Families.... He could have ask us to leave the stroller at the entrance

We were stunned by how good L'arrivage was when we first found it by chance four years ago. Alas, our most recent visit was a disppointment on both the service and food fronts. Little help from servers with simple special requests ("Can I have a salad a la carte?), odd portions (one of us received only half a salad when she asked for dressing on the side), and generally uninspiring food. Sad to see...it was great.

We visited L'Arrivage based upon Trip Advisors' recommendations, and we were not disappointed. It was a beautiful day and we sat out on the balcony looking toward the river. The food was sooo good, and our waiter was attentive and helpful. It was a superb experience in all ways. I think it would be good to make reservations which we did.
