“Hostess inflexible with seating request but great experience at the bar!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

Walked into 3 Brasseurs on St Catherine Street in Montreal today. Upon entering we waited to be approached by the hostess. I requested a high booth with a bar underneath since my husband was recovering from surgery and is in a cast with crutches. Advised by the hostess that she could not put me in a booth which seats 4 people but could put me in a small low table that seats 2. I would understand if there were not 4 empty high booths waiting for customers that may or may not come. They should be more flexible with the rules given the circumstances and the request for them to make an exception. As I continue to write this review 4 empty booths remain. Needless to say we sat a the bar and were more then satisfied with the bartender service. The Flammekueche was amazing and bar service excellent.

“Great Food and Brew”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

We were wondering around St Catherine late Sunday night for a place to get a good bite and brew before the skies had a chance to open up with a spring rain storm complete with thunder and lightning. Les 3 Brasseurs fit the bill.

No reservations, but we were seated right away. My husband ordered a roast beef sandwich. It was on crusty, crunchy, toasted bread with melted cheese and a side of au jus. It also came with a small portion of crispy fries. He seemed to enjoy it. Every bit was gone. I ordered the cassoulet. A nice combination of different meats in a savory sauce with white beans and chopped veggies. It was tasty, but not heated evenly all the way through with some spots good and hot and others just slightly warm. Also on the plate was a very nice, big piece of garlic bread that I broke into pieces and spooned the cassoulet on the top and ate. An additional small portion of arugula salad balanced out the plate.

I tried an IPA that was brewed on site. I love hand crafted beers and this one did not disappoint. It was quite good. A table next to us was enjoying a beer sampler which looked like something I would like to try on a future trip.

Quick and efficient service rounded out the dining experience. Our bill came to 44 CAD which was very reasonable for two entrees and two drinks.

“Food good, beer better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

we discovered this near our hotel on the last day there unfortunately. The food was very good, pretty standard pub grub. The beer menu is wonderful though as they brew a number of their own beers. Quite authentic and they don't seem big on the artificial flavour trend that people seem to be into with their beer. Very good. Service was great too.

“Great place for a quick bite!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

We stopped at 3 Brasseurs this past weekend after the Canadiens game. The menu had lots of options and the service was fast and friendly. I had their blonde beer which was pretty decent. The only odd thing was the choice of entertainment on the TVs (bad music videos of gyrating women), but I guess that can't be helped. If you're near McGill campus and need a quick meal, its a great place to stop!

“Good food, loud & crowded.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Good food and lots of different beers. The flatbread pizza is good with a good variety. Waitstaff are very friendly and bilingual. Sports bar feel. Main reason for average rating is that the tables are crowded very close together and with all the people packed together and all the hard surfaces, it is extremely noisy and hard to hold a conversation.
