My mom and I went to the St. Laurent location yesterday to try some tasty treats.
The decor was okay, not as nice as some other cafes in Montreal in terms of ambiance, but it was great for what we were looking for on a cold winters day.
Let me start off by saying that we can be difficult customers- my mom has a dairy allergy and I have a gluten allergy, but our server took this all in stride and explained to us what we could have.
My mom is a chocoholic and was able to have any of the dark chocolate drinks (without the whipped cream) and she picked a nice spicy hot chocolate. She gave it a 3/5.
I had a "cold" hot chocolate beverage. It was their dark hot chocolate cooler and mixed with banana and it was AMAZING! A definite 5/5! It was richer than a smoothie but still not the same taste as a milkshake. We also shared a crepe with dark chocolate, strawberries and bananas (they are huge so I do recommend sharing). Due to my gluten allergy the server asked for it to be made with a buckwheat crepe and it was delicious!
I will definitely be going back with my husband. Oh and for anyone else reading this who suffers from a gluten allergy, they do have a gluten free brownie.
