Do not waste your time, or your money, especially in a City with great restaurants. Especially if you are English speaking. It was the only time I ever felt discriminated against in Montreal.
First the good stuff. The crepes (we only had dessert), were thin and perfectly cooked. Fillings were adequate. The chocolate is real and well prepared (in every dish). The fruit for the fondue was generarlly fresh (except the bananas and the kiwi). The banana split is unusually built, but the chocolate and cream made it very tasty.
The lemonade was badly made and does not do justice to the chocolate. The chocolate and raspberry smoothy was overpowered by the chocolate and presumably not properly made.
THIS IS WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN QUEBEC AS A PROVINCE. It was deliberately bad. There were a number of diners that came much later than us. Each was served promptly. In one case the table had finished before our order was taken. Our drinks, after our order was taken were not brought until after our food order despite requests, when it was brought one drink was missing.
These things happen. What was truly offensive was the manner in which the issue was handled. NOT ONE APOLOGY!! Not even a reasonable explanation. .Three different staff members, one a manager, who simply said "we did our best, it was busy". And it took three requests to get him to even visit (for the 1 minute he could spare). He simply could have cared less...
When one goes to a place that charges a large premium over similar types of establishments, it is expected there will be service.
