“Traditional smoked meat!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

By far the best smoked meat restaurant in the 514 area! However, since this place is always packed, you better be ready to wait! Guys are friendly and it's very delicious! Price is expensive though

“Honest Stuff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

Schwartz's will give you what you came for- a pile of smoked meat on soft white dressed with yellow mustard- and not much else. Simple, fast, and pretty authentic. (Although as far as authenticity goes, I visited at lunch time and all of the patrons were tourists, no exceptions.) go early to avoid the line and splurge on the t-shirt.

“Iconic spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

We ate here on New Year's Day and it was the perfect food for a little New Years hang over
The queue was out the door with plenty of people waiting for a table
It's very old school, no frills but wow that meat tastes great!
If you are in Montreal, you have to try it!

“Must have if you visit Montreal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

I would say food wise, this is the must have in Montreal. Just get the medium fat with mustard, that's all you need. Five of us arrived at Schwartz's at 3 pm for a late lunch on a Wednesday and still had to wait for half an hour. It is easier to get a table for 2 people. Their tables sit six so they either sit two parties of two at the same table or sit them at the bar. Another option is to buy take out from the store next door and eat on the street but it is kind of messy.
