“Not the greatest introduction to Montreal dining”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Firstly - our server was brilliant. She was helpful, very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her and her overall service.

Unfortunately, she was the only good thing about our dinner. We had just flown in and wanted somewhere close to our hotel. Appetizers were OK - but the main courses were awful. I had grilled chicken breast with mushrooms - chicken was literally incinerated, and the mushroom sauce tasted of charcoal as well. My husband ordered pasta, which was overcooked and stuck together like glue. We ordered a bottle of white wine - the bottle was cloudy, and when I mentioned that it didn't look right, I was told that the manager said this was how the wine appeared, but that it would be fine. I am no wine expert, but quite honestly trying to pull this one was stretching it to say the least. Needless to say the wine was undrinkable. They replaced the bottle, which was exactly the same as the first one. I told the waitress that it was obvious that every bottle of the wine was probably off and they shouldn't be serving it to anyone. In the end I just had a glass of wine.

I will never eat there again. We were told the chef was well-known and high quality. It was obviously his night off.

“Nice place to spend a sunny evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Restaurants with terraces on sunny evenings are hard not to like. The waitress service was good, two for one happy hour a pleasure and food arrived quickly. Papadella with scallopswent down very well with local red beer and my companions and I all left with a good feeling.

“Great Rooftop Terrace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We stopped for a drink before heading out to dinner. While we needed to wait for a outdoor seating, we were well served indoors. Once seating became available, the manager took care of us directly. Good service. Popular with a younger after work crowd.

“Hip happening, but no service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Place was hip happening, busy, with buzzz. Came to watch the good old hockey game, beer is warm.
And no service,

Gone!

“Okay service, great happy hour prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Went here without knowing anything about it, had snacks/drinks at the street level lounge. The decor is very trendy and clean. The music was super loud, especially since it was only 6pm. Most of the people here appeared to be coming straight from work. I had a portabello burger that was good, the sweet potato fries were great. My friend had macaroni and cheese, but found it too filling to finish. The service was okay, kind of slow but still acceptable. The best part was the happy hour prices, two beers for the price of one. There was nothing awesome or terrible about this place. Probably wouldn't go back because it wasn't really my scene.
