“Good food, poor service.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Food was very good, they served the best Naan bread I've ever had and amazing butter chicken. However, it's pretty pricey considering how little food you get and the service was very slow.

“Enjoyable meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Old Montreal offers several Indian restaurants, and Gandhi was nearest to Le Petit Hotel. Went without reservations, but were seated immediately at a table near the window. Prices seemed high, and neither rice nor naan is included with entrees. However, the saag aloo was one of the best I've tasted, and had me writing down the ingredients and flavors I could identify, hoping to find a recipe to duplicate it. My dining companion always orders chicken curry, and while no dish by that name exists on the menu, the waiter was helpful in suggesting Gandhi's version. We also enjoyed a couple of Indian beers. Would recommend.

“Not the best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

Better Indian food available in Montreal. Prices are moderate and curry is quite spicy. Location in Old Montreal is a plus. No easy parking. May be a good pre theatre dinner during Centaur season. Wines are overpriced. Atmosphere is not special.

“If you love Indian food, you will love it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

It was the best spinach paneer I ever had. It was chunky and colorful, not pureed like mush. The food is served in lovely copper bowls and the staff was friendly.I was happy to have chosen this for one of our evening meals.
