Knowing most of the great restaurants in Montreal, this is a very good restaurant for a tourist who wants to experience old world charm of Old Montreal and good food. During the day, I find the decor not as effective as the evening. Brick walls were throughout and the decor was interesting and rather eclectic. Food was very good however the 2 hours wait at the table for our food was a bit much ---I had reservations for 5 people. Whether crowded or not, a reservation should be treated with respect and service at those prices should be at its utmost. We arrvied at our table punctually for 7:30 and did not get served our entree until 10:30. Appetizers were served within 1/2 hour of arriving. Manager gave us another bottle of wine to compensate for the wait but it was not as appealing after the first 2 bottles and a 2 hour wait for service at our table. Rather embarrassing especially since I was hosting clients. There are many fine restaurants in Montreal with excellent service and good food. Montreal is known for its food and restaurants. This one was lacking on that particular evening. Food was very good but I've had comparable if not better in Montreal. Decor was interesting in the evening. We did not eat on the terrace but just to let you know it is much nicer inside. Terrace is plainly decorated and small.
