I am very excited to be able to do another review for a restaurant i just went with a client for lunch. I will try to provide some info that will help you decide if you really want this environment for this price. As usual i will provide comments with details as follows:
Location: very located on Peel St downtown Montreal. Its off Ste Catherine (2blocks) and accross the street from Orchidee de Chine. Very easy to locate.
Outside sign: its visible, nice but nothing to get excited about
Interior: well you open the front door and uou face a heavy curtain that you have to move in order to get into the restaurant. Its like getting into your shower. On the other side of the curtain you are welcome by ladies and face little island full of glasses and plates. You sit at small tables for two against the wall and you are probably 12-18 inches from the other table so no privacy at all. Washrooms are on the second floor so forget the wheelchair. You feel stuck when you sit at a small table for two. The person sitting at the back needs to wait for the waitor to move the table. This was not fun
Food: they had two options on the menu for lunch. Its a cheap steak in a moustard sauce with french fries. The steak was good but nothing to roll on the ground.
Service: service was good, waitress was polite and wanted to do well. No complaints
Price: well for two adults, no alchool it was over 70$... I find this a bit pricy...
I think that this is a decent place but for the price their are other great places in montreal. I would suggest and or recommand to try other steak place if this is what you really looking for.
