Our stay at Chez Francois was absolutely wonderful—and we agree with all the enthusiastic reviews that helped us make this choice. Francois is an amazing host—helping us with luggage, getting us oriented, feeding us, chatting with us, and overall just making it all feel like we should think of his place as our second home.
Breakfasts were great and we were asked for no set time commitment. Whenever we wandered out in the morning, Francois would appear and get us off to a good start for the day—well-fed and well-informed. Equally true for Laurence, our wonderful host for our last 2 days.
We loved the location too. Right next to a very pretty park with an easy walk to a collection of restaurants that offered almost every cuisine imaginable. We thought the location on the "plateau" was central to many things—old Montreal, the Jardin, the Parc Montroyal. We had free parking at the B&B (a real plus in this city where parking is very expensive) and mostly used public transportation, which was very accessible and easy to navigate.
The rooms were spotless and nicely furnished. The lounge was very comfy and I especially enjoyed the mural around the bar area. (I will try to add some pics.) Wi-Fi service was great.
Can’t think of a single complaint! Would definitely love to come back!
