“MAKE RESERVATIONS! All P.F. Changs are the same, not amazing, not bad”
I have never been to a p.f. changs before but they people with whom I went with said they are all the same. So I imagine if you have eaten at one then well you do not need to read this review.
MAKE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS. They will make you wait an hour if you do not. Even on a Wednesday night. When we got there and told us it would be 45 minutes -1 hour we headed over to Baton Rouge. The next weekend we made reservations for I think it was Friday and we still had to wait 20 minutes.
Our waitress was very nice and helpful when we had questions about the menu. They recommend eating buffet style, which we did for the appetizer part. However, we all got our own dinners. It was not that expensive if you do a buffet style, because then you just split everything. Has you can probably see from the other reviews, everyone says it's good food, but not worth the price. I have to admit, it was not a bad experience, just I can honestly say that nothing is making want to go back. The place if located just off Decarie, so it's very easy to get to. They have nice doormen, I think they offer valet but I do not see the point just park in the parking lot for free.. I don't know I guess if you have the money. Definitely try their lettuce wraps, one of their popular appetizer dishes, as well as their calamari especially. I have only read good things about the two. It was good, but I did not think anything special of it really. When our waitress said she was going to make us a special sauce I thought it was going to be something special but she just mixes chili paste, hot mustard sauce, and soy sauce (if I am not mistaken). Not special at all aha... The place is super nice and fancy, two floors, huge stairwell down the middle to get upstairs and a tiny terasse on the side if you wish to sit outside. Also the bathrooms are super fancy and nice, which I like to think is a good thing when a restaurants take the time to make their bathrooms look good.
I am HUGE hot & sour soup lover and no offense but theirs sucked (not surprised) . The dessert was amazing (we got the banana spring rolls) and the tea was lovely, we got a dragon oolong I believe. I have pictures if you would like to see. That was probably my highlight of the whole experience. Drinks are expensive (no surprise their though). Most of us just stuck to water. I do not regret going, it was not a bad experience just there was nothing that would make we say I want to go back.
