Having read the favourable reviews of Dolcetto & Co., we decided to try it out. It was wonderful. An Italian version of a tapas restaurant, the portions were not large but the quality and taste excellent. Starters included lime marinated octopus & fennel salad (the most tender and tasty octopus I have ever had) and sauteed garlic shrimp, tomatoes & pancetta (just two large shrimp but delightful with the pancetta). Our first pizza was pesto, sundried tomatoes, olives and mozzarella. It was small but had a wonderful flavour. The second pizza was gorgonzola, pear and pine nuts -- also delightful. The best was yet to come -- dessert. Having read another reviewer's praise for the Nutella pizza, I decided to give it a try. Nutella, strawberries and delicate pizza dough turned out to be magnificent. But even better was my partner's fondant au chocolat (English translation "Chocolate molten cake"). Made with superb dark chocolate, it may have been the best dessert I have ever had, and I am a lifetime chocoholic. The atmosphere was lively, friendly and the servers were very attentive.
