If you’ve been to the Vieux Port area in Montreal and not stopped at Salumi Vino Ristorante and Wine Bar for a meal or a glass of wine you simply do not know what you have missed!
My husband and I were in Montreal for a week this past September 2013. We arrived on a Sunday evening and started to look for a place to eat, unaware that most restaurants are closed on Sunday.
We walked around for a while, found Salumi Vino and stopped in only to find that it was closed. After talking with manager Mario for a few minutes to find out what we were looking for he got on the phone with colleagues that had restaurants open and made reservations for us. We returned the next day to thank Mario for his assistance and struck up a friendship immediately. Salumi Vino became our ‘go to’ place while we were in town.
The Restaurant’s Mediterranean European theme is very tastefully done and provides patrons with a warm and intimate atmosphere.
Salumi Vino chefs prepare the finest Italian food, all freshly made from scratch, reminiscent of some of the finest meals we’ve had in Italy. The menu offers a full a selection of authentic fine dining dishes that will suit any food lover’s palate. The food is exquisite!
The wine bar has an excellent selection of fine wines and serves Salumis until closing. A plate of Salumis and fresh crusty bread paired with a glass of fine wine – you can’t ask for anything more! Salumi Vino is our place of choice in the heart of old Montreal when we visit and should NOT to be missed.
