Arrived late afternoon on Friday May 3rd 2013. Surprised by the beautiful, modern surroundings and friendliness of all. Manager was at desk eager to please, offered cookies, discount in restaurant, etc. Be sure to look up at the beautiful chandelier as you walk in!!! Our room was on the main floor and it was the single king bed we had requested. Fridge, microwave, dishes, coffee maker, flat screen tv(remote did not work so well though), couch(hide-a-bed), office chair and table - very comfy, clean and WELL LIT as opposed to many other hotels we go to. Met with friends so did not get to enjoy the great looking restaurant and succulent looking menu!! Fantastic bed and a great choice of pillow firmness. Nice touch that there is a 24 hr snack shop right next to the front desk and they bill it to the room. When was the last time you got a tub of Hagen Daas Ice cream for 5$!?!? Got up too late to take advantage of the very reasonably priced breakfast buffet but managed to get coffee(very good!) in lobby on our way out. Strangely enough we got (or we really believe we got) an accessible room. We recognized it as my bride was in a wheelchair for a few years and we had to use accessible rooms for a while. Although it was nice, bright and roomy some things were really weird: if in a wheelchair, it would be impossible to use the coffee maker or get to the dishes in the upper cabinets or reach the microwave! In the washroom, the rail that would permit the adjustment of the shower head was there but the shower head itself was a very standard come through the wall type so again, useless to a handicapped person. Must mention the large washroom was very bright, useable and the mirror taking up the whole sink wall is awesome!! The marble floor in the washroom is very impressive but not heated?!? It was freezing cold and we had to use 4 towels to cover it so we could use the washroom without freezing our feet! If you are going to install stone floors, install in floor heating as well please!!! Nice touch: in the evening, there are chips and peanuts on the lobby tables. Definitely will use again when in the Montreal airport vicinity.
