If you are not Venezuelan and want to try something delicious, you have to go Cachitos. You'll get a great variety of hand roll breads that make Cachitos the best place to go for breakfast, have a light lunch or just a snack in the afternoon, accompanied by an excellent coffee. To this we must add the friendly atmosphere created by their owners do makes Cachitos a constant meeting place.

“I can't help coming back again and again !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

A cachito is perfect for a snack or a light meal: soft and full of flavor. A piece of Venezuela's warmness in Canada.

The cofees are great. Many original combinations and the traditiinals too.

You always leave with a smile in your face. Liliana, Carmen, Leandro and Rubén will make sure of that

“Only the happiest place on Earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I walked in for coffee one day last fall between classes (near UQAM). I had no idea what cachitos were, but the owners (unbelievably warm and nice) explained everything to me. When I took that first bite of the ham and cheese cachito...OMG i was sold. Needless to say, I`ve been going once a week since last fall. I`ve tried all their different flavours of cachitos, and I usually spend several hours there, eating, drinking their *excellent* coffee and studying. When I come in now, I am greeted like family, and I can`t htink of a better place to be for a break.
I highly recommend the chicken/ricotta cachito and the chorizo one as well. Bring a friend! :)

“Wow!!! Delish people and food!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

Happened by this place while exploring rue de St. Laurent. Not only were the cachitos to die for, but the proprietors were so kind and friendly--esp to my kid. I loved the sample they shared, the coffee and the artwork downstairs. Where can I find (or make) a cachito in DC?
