I brought my husband here for his 30th birthday as a surprise. I booked my filght from Toronto and the hotel via Travelocity, and I highly recommend it.
Location: The hotel could not be in a more central location, from it you can travel any direction as you are at the Peel Station which is a few stations away from the connectings lines. If you like St-Catherine and shopping, then you are right above the district. If you like eating, as we did, then you are near numerous phenomenal restaurants.
Rooms: I was thinking the room would be a bit more modern, W style. When I came in I was a bit dissapointing, the bathroom didnt have a big bathtub the way I had anticipated. That being said, it really grew on me. Blackout curtains are amazing. Bed has an additional down layer, making it soft but not too soft. The mini fridge has literally 14 types of drinks. We upgraded and had a bit of a bigger room and it was really quite large.
Highlights: I dont know who cleaned our room on Nov 17th, but the cleaning lady deserves an ward. Room for managers who might be reading. She folded everything, arranged our shoes in a line, it was a super nice treat, she definitively did not have to go to all the effort, but did.
BRUNCH. Ok, so its $45 a person, sounds expensive. DO IT, do it do it do it. Oysters, whole baked salmon, cheese plate to die for, omelette bar, fruit, pastries of all kinds, salads of all kinds, benedict, it was porbably the best breakfast ive ever had, and i work in the restaurant industry. Also, i love my breakfast!
Suggestion: sort of wish every hotel had a vending machine with necessities like advil, tylenol PM, things of that nature. Just a thought :)
Definitively would reccomend the hotel!
