We went to Le Filet after recommendations by TripAdvisor ranking and OpenTable accessibility, and the fact they have availability on Dec-27 (though need to be early at 17:45). The place can easily be missed if you're not a local as it is nicely tugged in among a townhome complex so it looked residential from the outside especially if you drive. The food was creative and delicious we were impressed right the way. The flavor, presentation and the ingredients all tickled our taste buds. It was a semi-tapas style with authentic French roots blended nicely with an Asian twist. Viola, you were handed this magnificent combination of purely great food. Wine list was also unique as many appeared to be private collections. Atmosphere is cozy, modern and intimate though a bit loud as the room got filled up with people who savored the food and wine. Price is on the high side but it is well worth it as the ingredients and preparation were just perfect. Our party of 4 spent $250CAN ordered 10 dishes and a bottle of French white. They also surprised my dad for his birthday with a nice dessert - very informative staff, polite and warm. The manager chatted with us and helped us with our coats & send us off. Definitely will return next time in Montreal. Thank you for a great evening!
