“Great time at the St-Sulpice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

I stayed 2 nights with my girlfriend and everything was great from A to Z. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the very polite and helpful staff. The concierge recommended us great restaurants to go to and we had a very good time. I currently live in Dubai but i make trips back to Montreal every now and then and there is no doubt in my mind that I would attend the St-Sulpice time and time again. If you get a chance ask for Marine at the front desk she was very helpful and made our stay stress free!

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely weekend in Montreal. We selected Le Saint-Sulpice for our stay because of prior stays at the hotel that were outstanding and the hotel's superior location in Vieux Montreal. Upon arrival, the valet met us right away at the entrance. Great start! Our room was not quite ready yet which really was not a problem. I had requested a king bed, which is hard to come by in the hotel, and we were willing to wait until the room was ready. However, when the young lady who checked us in noticed that it was going to be a longer wait, she offered us an upgrade to an Executive Suite. So we accepted her offer and we were certainly very pleased with the suite. We even used the fireplace, which was especially fun because it was only 10º F outside.

The hotel is very clean both in the rooms and in public areas. The staff was decorating for Christmas which made the hotel very festive. Prior to our visit we had received an email from the concierge offering his services during our stay. I did email for advice about dinner reservations and received prompt replies. He made reservations for us for both nights. Both restaurants, The Stash Cafe and La Gargote were great. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance in each restaurant.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Montreal. I would highly recommend it!

My husband and I are returning from spending a few days at Le Saint-Sulpice. What a wonderful experience. Customer service was excellent; staff always acknowledged us and went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant.
The location is perfect. Close to restaurants, shopping boutiques, 5 min. walk to the Metro. Located behind the Notre-Dame Basilica. A bit of a walk if you take the #747 Bus from the airport, but that was a minor thing.
The Suite was clean, spacious. Loved the Juliette Balcony! Coffee maker, kettle, dishes, microwave, fridge, iron.
We did not eat at the restaurant so we cannot comment on that aspect of the hotel.
And Old Montreal looked very pretty with the Christmas decorations.

Very nice hotel with extremly friendly staff, always ready to make sure that everything is perfect. We had a deluxe suite wich was big enough, and the room was very clean with nice and modern Deco. There's even a Nespresso machine in every room. There is really nothing to critisize. We will go back !!

What I liked:
- super comfy bed
- lots of pillows
- bathrobes
- kettle to boil water for tea (although the hotel could provide larger mugs)
- nice lighting
- large windows that open!
- quiet
- separate bath and shower
- New York Times and local papers
- attractive decor
- wonderful central location in the Old City

What I wasn't so keen on
- electric fireplace is a bit cheesy
- the wall between the bathroom and bedroom was frosted glass so if you turned on the light in the middle of the night, it illuminated the bedroom
