“NEVER AGAIN”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

I try to stay at this hotel with my husband, the place was a dump! i'm from Montreal and decide to go out late at night so not to disturb my family i decide to rent a room for the night, we were told this was the last room so we said no problem we will take it.I went and had a bath then pull the blanket the get in bed and the sheet had a big big blood stain and there i no way a housekeeper woud have not see that, so i thing this room was use by others then they check out and the staff try to clean it themself and rent it again, that is my guess, but anyway my experiences with the days inn are over, i had a bad experince at a days inn before in Tofino at Weigh West so i will never never never rent again when i see a days inn sign

Room Tip: don't go there, there is better hotel with better location

Dear Guest,

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We take your comments concerning the stain on your sheets very seriously and the issue has been addressed with the head of Housekeeping. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations, but we just want to address the fact that we never give a room that has already been used by another customer without being cleaned by the housekeeping staff. However, the fact that you found a stain on your sheets should have never happened and we should have been more careful.

Once again we are sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for taking the time to write a review on our property.

Free wireless, reasonable speeds. Clean room. Double beds. Nice bathroom. Fridge. Cable tv. Ice machine on floor #2. Dresser. Desk. 40" TV. Alarm clock. Enough receptacles. No safe however. Local calls are $1.50 per call but I just use my cell or wifi VoIP on iPhone.

Maid was on time. Great location. Coffee machine. Decent light blocking curtains. Separate air conditioning/heater.

the hotel was updated nice very large rooms. The location was good close enough to downtown to avoid the heavy traffic. The parking was under the hotel($20 a day). The only drawback was it was right down the street from the hospital and police. The sirens were going off all night.Still We would stay there again.

Thank you for writing a review on our property.

We are in a downtown area so it does get a little noisy sometimes. We are sorry if that caused any inconveniences during your stay. Still, we hoped you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you on your next visit to Montreal.

Thank you,

We stayed at the Days Inn Montreal Centre-ville. A good location, sizeable property, decent enough amenities, a resto bar on the ground floor. We had two stays there of four days each interrupted by a trip out to Toronto. Two stays, two different suites. General comments on the suites: reasonably priced, good size, comfortable bed, decent loveseat, nice writing desk, tv, lovely bathrooms, ample windows in one. Now the glitches. The ventilation, the water. In one suite the thermostat for the AC would work for an initial run then turn off and not come on again unless you rebooted it. In the other the thermostat for a different kind of unit never shut the unit off. Concerning the water, the cold water ran hot. Sometimes you could run the hot water out of the cold water tap but sometimes you couldn't. The cold water just wouldn't come. Which makes drinking and taking a shower difficult. Bottom line when in Montreal again would I give the Days Inn another chance? Probably. The location is superb, the city is wonderful, the staff friendly and cooperative. This location could use a business center. Since most of us travel with laptops, having a communal PC where we can print things like boarding passes and tickets would be very helpful.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our property. We are currently doing major renovations and we will address the issue concerning the water in the suites. We are sorry for the inconvenience it has caused during your stay. We are also looking into putting a computer in the lobby since a lot of customers ask for it.

Once again, thank you for your comments and we hope to see you on your next trip to Montreal.

I stayed here with a friend a few weeks ago for a weekend in Montreal. The location is perfect for any who want to see the sites. Most major attractions are within walking distance (Unless you're a couch potato) and it was always easy to find our way back, even if we did get lost quite a few times.

The girl at the desk during check in was great even though the phones were ringing off the hook around her and she was obviously busy. She declined my offer to wait for her to answer the phone which was a small gesture but much appreciated.

The on site bar was basic but the staff more than made up for it. They were engaging and friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making us feel comfortable.

The room itself was in need of an update, but very clean and comfortable nonetheless. The only issue we had was with the parking. We paid 20 dollars a night to park in an underground garage across the street. I understand parking is at a premium in this area, but it seems a little pricey for something that's not even on the same property. This is probably just a minor quibble though.

Overall it was a great stay made even better by very friendly staff.

Thank you for writing a review on our property,

We are glad our customer service met your expectations. We understand that parking is a little pricey, but we really try to make the best out of what we have available around us since we are in a downtown area.

We hope to see you on your next trip to Montreal

We stayed there this past September for a Bachelor's party and were not disappointed. The rooms were pretty spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful with minor changes we had to make and very friendly with dinning suggestions and directions within the city. The proximity to St-Catherine's street (minutes from gentleman's establishments) and Old Montreal (a 5 minute walk to Notre Dame) made this trip much more manageable considering the circumstances around our trip. Definitely ideal considering the price and location!
