“One of best restaurant in Montreal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012 via mobile

We tried Pyrus once and we loved it at first tapas! It's a great bistro with an amazing selection of
tapas... After 3 marvelous tapas we had 2 delicious main dishes: bernaise style tartare de boeuf and an incredible Veal marrow bone! Also the chocolate dessert was really good... Finally a creative dinner place! We'll come back soon with our friends!

“Adventurous bistro, spot on”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Sometimes when a restaurant is better known for brunch, patrons steer clear at night. Don't avoid Pyrus! A breath of fresh air with an ecclectic menu (how often does a kimchi pizza compete for your order with several fois gras appetizers?) We ordered the blind tasting menu which was a great choice because we got to try things it never would have occurred to us to order: case in point, boudin (paired with the most velvety scallop I've ever eaten) and goat cheese pistachio pudding pop. Wine list is very easy on the wallet and carefully curated, as they say. Service is attentive. Seats tight on Laurier are great, especially when the picture window is open, patio-style.

“Such a gem, charming and excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

We arrived with our kids rather late by accident since we were staying not far and went wandering around the neighborhood looking for a place to eat - everyone was tired and hungry. The place looked great and was still serving so we went in. The kids pretty much all laid down on the benches and the waiters were so kind and accommodating given our circus. The food is excellent, we asked the waiter just bring some tapas, and all were excellent. The mains - kids shared a steak and we shared two other dishes was excellent. The french fries, along with the homemade mayonnaise was out of this world. Excellent. Really a great find. Highly recommend for great food, good wine and excellent service

“Lots of food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

The brunch here was very good and cooked well. The portion size was just too large for one person. A little on the expensive side at $28. To get one and split I think would be perfect. Haven't tried the dinner here but the restaurant looks very cute abs the chefs did brunch very well.
