We stayed in this hotel in May when we visit Montreal for 2 days. We arrived around 2am in the morning after a long drive. The hotel staff quickly check us in. We lived in a junior suite. Sofa can be turned into a sofabed. There is a pocket door separate bedroom and living room. Total space is very small, and cramp, not much larger than a regular hotel room. The swimming pool is very small, compared with the hotel size. The water is not clear, due to too many people using it. With too many people trying to enjoy the pool, you feel like it is a bathtub to get cool, not really swimming at all. You can get a fruit on your way back to hotel room. You can make reservation to use the BMW bike from the hotel for 2 hours. Bikes are old, but still runs well. Helmet included. There is only one child bike. Location is good, near the train station. Walk to St Catherine st. We biked to the pier and waterfront. We ate a late lunch/dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is expensive, for sure, the dish is not particular tasty. For that money, you'd better find nicer restaurant in Montreal. The hotel has old charm, like many Fairmont properties. However, it shows its age and looks tired. for same amount of money, you get better value, amenities, and comfort in modern hotels.
