“Family trip to Montreal this summer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Nice hotel...8 nights maybe too long for 2 kids and a small hotel room. If have kids, recommend a room right near the pool. Great location with everything in walking distance or even a cab. Had breakfast at the restaurant every morning. Very good spread.

Room Tip: Walls were kind of thin...could hear voices in the next room over.

There was an attitude with the staff at this location. Though location was good for us. It seemed very dull & dark all over the hotel. Too much cement structure.Good protection for noise but Lacked colorfullness / brightness

Had to pay for wifi, $11.00 for a beer,2.00 for a coffee. Noisy fan in heating/ac system in room. Nickel and dimed to death. 1.50 charge for room to room. no robes for pool. No help with luggage on arrival. Doorman not helpful unless you ask. Beggars everywhere in Montreal unreal worst city ever visited for this.

Thank you for your review. I am truly surprised to read that you had to pay for Wifi and for a room-to-room (call?) as they are both complimentary. We have been offering free Wifi and wired internet in our guestrooms for the past 2 to 3 years. Wifi is also available at no cost in our lobby. On top of that, the computers in the business center are at your disposal also.

I will follow-up on your comment about the lack of proactiveness from our doorman.

We hope to see you again soon!I

Check in and check out, slow. I still think when you book online hotels should have a quick check in! Room clean. Not extra clean. The shower walls were not clean, they needed a scrub. There was some yorky yellow dry spot left unattended! The remaining room clean. Bed comfy. room 3415 has a nice view on the CN parking lot. It was quiet. Except in he corridor, my 12 yrs old made a big fun of some weird noise we heard coming from rooms! But we had a nice quiet night. Cold room. And difficult to adjust. It was getting cold set at 21C 74F then I raised it in the middle of the night at 23C 78F it got really hot so I dropped it down at 21C and it was freezing under the blankets, draft coming from the window. But the bed is comfy. Its a convenient location for business at Place Bonaventure or to walk to Ste-Catherine and around. Heated pool we didn't use but looked inviting. There is a nice bar downstairs also inviting with great finger food.

The garden and the pool are amazing. The location is also perfect and connects direct to the train station. Also near commerce and downtown. This hotel is not only family friendly but also dog friendly!

I loved this hotel and location was perfect for my travels by Metro all over the city to see the best sights. Metro station below the hotel with connecting tunnel to train station very handy as I arrived by train. All the shops in under ground connected to tunnel under hotel including my favourite Second Cup. The room had a beautiful view of gardens and water feature. You can also ask for view overlooking the pool. I asked for walk in shower which as senior was great for me and bathroom was huge and beautiful with lots of counter space which ladies love. Ask for room near pool and reception desk to save walking. Hotel is the top few floors of a commercial building with private express elevators. The staff everywhere was very helpful. Ask for map and suggestions from concierge. I didn't eat in the restaurant that serves meals all day but there was a terrace outside with tables that looked very inviting. The 24 hour gym had great cardio machines with live TV and the weight training machines were perfect for my regular routine. There's also filter water and towels as a compliment. I can't wait to return in the winter and try the pool which is very popular with entrance tunnel to swim from inside to outside pool. Towels provided but bring your own robe. The pool was my favourite and large deck of chaise lounges. In summer I'm told drinks and meals served on deck. I'm recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. I tried an in room massage for first time and was nervous. It turned out to b a wonderful experience and was given an exercise to do to help easy my Charlie horse which was great help with all the walking I was doing around town. Book at the desk, they have great registered masseuses.

Room Tip: Ask for room not beside elevator or ice room but near front reception.

Stay 3 weeks on business & found the service excellent. I had no problem with noisy neighbours and do try the pool. The personnel is very helpful. Location is close to Montreal downtown & a 15 mins walk to Old Montreal. Good value for $ & like home away from home.g

Room Tip: Breakfast is included if you are Gold HHonors & access to the VIP lounge if you are Diamond stat...
