The Omni Hotel is one of the very good addresses in Montral. It's not as huge as some others. The rooms are large and beautiful, the beds excellent and the view over the city from the upper floors is fantastic. They also have impressive function rooms. I felt completely at ease.

Stayed at the Omni two nights and had a nice stay. The room was lovely, and the sfaff helpful. The concierge service was highly appreciated for making reservations, however, I was recommended to a restaurant that I really did not enjoy, the food was average. I wondered if it was to give them business....The breakfast buffet was very pretty, but I really did not enjoy the choices of food. But overall, a great hotel, in a convenient downtown location.

Most accommodating staff and great facilities. Well situated. Clean and comfortable rooms. Particularly like the Mountain view. Love the complimentary coffee service in the morning. Best doormen in the business!

My wife and I recently spent four nights on a mini family reunion. The hotel is located near McGill University on Sherbrooke Street and is easy to access from the airport by bus, taxi ($40 flat rate), or car (their valet parking service is very handy). The facilities underwent a recent renovation and include a large workout area, a spa, and an outdoor patio and pool with towel service. All areas were very clean. Rooms are large and well appointed. We did not use the restaurant for lunch or dinner but the buffet breakfast was nice and fresh, and very good. All staff were friendly, responsive and helpful, and the concierge staff was particularly good in advising us on restaurants and transport. You get free wifi and a few other perks if you join the Omni "club". I would highly recommend the Omni for anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are a bit roomier.

To start, when we arrived at the hotel, we didn't want to valet the car as we were going to be there several days and didn't plan on driving. The valet kindly pointed us to self parking. Once we got to the front desk, the staff was very helpful and we quickly got checked in. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. There was tons of room and even a little sitting area at the end of the bed. The bathroom was large and had tons of counter space. Everything about our room was spectacular.

The location of the hotel is great. It's right at the base of Mount Royal and is just blocks from the green line of the subway. There's tons of shopping nearby as well.

My only complaint was that we needed a knife to eat some of those famous Montreal bagels that we had gotten at St. Viateur the night before. We called down to room service and got one about 30 minutes later. When we checked out, we found they'd charged us $1.34 so that we could use the knife to cut open a bagel. I was quite surprised they'd charged us just to use a knife, but a small complaint for an overall great stay.

All in all, this hotel was wonderful and we would definitely be back!

We recently spent two nights at the Omni Mont Royal for the Jazz Festival. Having not been to Montreal before, we wanted something convenient to the festival. This property is a little further out than it looks on the map, but was still walkable to Place des Arts, where the festival is held. (The Hyatt Regency overlooks the festival, but may be noisy).

We arrived and were met by a very very helpful bellman/valet, Bernard (I hope that is spelled correctly). He helped us unload our mountain of luggage (we were traveling for two weeks total) and our bicycles; stored our bikes for us; and helped us with self parking. Every staff person we met was equally helpful (Bernard just had that something extra...he makes a great first impression) and all were friendly.

We belong to their loyalty program (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND...you get great perks on your second stay...like complimentary coffee or tea delivered to your room and free wifi), and we were greeted as loyal guests.

Our room was on a high floor (28) and had great views of Mont Royal. The room is very large with king bed with a sofa at the end, and lots of storage; plus a large marble bath. As with all the Omni's we have stayed, the bed was very, very comfortable.

We had drinks at the Alice Bar, and the young bartender, not only really knew her stuff, she took great pride in making a well crafted drink. I ordered a Tom Collins (talk about a throw back drink, right?), she created her own Collins mix by squeezing fresh lemons, sweetening them and adding soda. It was the most refreshing drink. She said she hated using the premixed mixer. I also watched her make a mojito (a dirty mojito with coke...different), she muddled and mixed it to perfection. The drinks are pricey, but it is Montreal...everything is pricey!

All in all this was a wonderful stay. (oh, the jazz festival was great too...you should come for that!)

This hotel made our trip to Montreal one of the most memorable ever. We have also stayed in the Omni in Chicago, which is also excellent, but Montreal was our favorite. Our room overlooked the pool deck and the hotel was is in the heart of downtown and at the base of Mount Royal. Easy access to bike routes (we checked our personal bikes with the concierge), patisserie and restaurants all within walking distance. Remember to bring your own bags for purchases, this is a very "green" city. Can't wait to visit the Omni in Montreal again.
