A long time customer of the Omni Montreal, its recent renovations were a welcome upgrade. The staff at this hotel are first rate, friendly and extremely helpful. Upon our 3rd annual summer trip they all remember us and have suggestions for new places or restaurants to experience, always on point and not just the cliche tourist traps. The hotel itself is gem mint, and if you join their membership rewards program, gets you room service of coffee and bagels at a very minimal fee.

The hotel had recently been renovated and the rooms are well appointed. I had a king room which was large with a divan and work station, very clean and comfortable. ordered room service twice and both times was disappointed with the food which was over-priced, over-cooked and mediocre plus not very warm. sign up for the select guest online which includes free beverage service in the morning and free wifi. check in/check out was a breeze. staff were friendly and helpful. located across from McGill University and close to shopping and lots of restaurant options.

I stayed at the Omni Mont-Royal for one night in November and had a wonderful experience. The staff, from the valet to the concierge to security, all provided extremely good service. The room was also beautiful Clean, large and comfortable. Location is also great - walking distance to any bars, restaurants and shopping you could possibly want. I also left an expensive personal item in the room after checking out and it was found by the cleaning staff, held by security and shipped back to me safely within a matter of a few weeks. Very thankful for this type of service as it is too rare these days! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Montreal.

My wife and I bought a night at the Omni through Priceline for under $100. This was our second time at this hotel and it is certainly a bargain for the price. Its location in downtown Montreal is ideal for walking to shopping or in our case to and from the Bell Centre. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are well appointed. The coffee shop in the lower level was under renovation but the temporary one was fine and had excellent coffee and croissants that morning. Check in and check out no problem with friendly and attentive service. The Omin has become a favorite of ours when we need a place to go in Montreal.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the mountain

1-They charged me for internet access without telling me i had to pay for it...2-there's no parking but there's a valet service...which sucks because they scratched my car!!!! 3- if u want a breakfast you have to pay for it! (which even a motel offers for free) so they offer no service!! I hated my experience!! Look for another hotel there's much better...(coming from a Montrealer)! I have to admit that the hotel looks good and clean.

It was dismaying to read that you felt as if you were charged for items without advanced notice. Our wireless system does explain the charges upon your initial login but we will review the page to insure that cost is clearly explained. In addition, we do have a complimentary Select Guest program which entitles all members to complimentary wireless internet, free beverage delivery service with an option for inexpensive breakfast items, as well as many other valuable perks. This program is open to all guests. Thank you for allowing us to read about your frustrations and we hope that we will have a future chance to provide you with a great stay.

The hotel has been renovated nicely, large, attractive rooms with good views. Our maid was very helpful with getting us little things that we needed. Service was quite prompt. We appreciated the Select Guest beverage service and wifi. However, everything else was just bad.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights, with a one night break in the middle.
At check-in the first day, we had to pay $20 to be "upgraded" to a double bedded room. I ask you: which self respecting four star hotel charges extra for two double beds? The woman promised us a suite for our second stay, as the hotel was quite empty.
We arrived the second time and were told that the hotel does not upgrade people without a fee! They offered to upgrade us for $50, regardless of the fact that we had been promised an upgrade. Not only that, but they wanted an additional $50 for a fridge in the room! Water in the bathroom does come out cloudy, a little disconcerting.
The hotel's redone lobby offers virtually no seating area outside of the bar, which was very inconvenient. The gym floor, while large and well equipped, is extremely dated and is missing basics like televisions! The pool, much to our disappointment, was closed during our stay. We found the doormen to be absolutely useless, we were not even offered assistance with our luggage. People looking for a true luxury experience should look elsewhere. Montreal has much better options.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor.

Spent the week here on a business trip. Rooms were large and nicely decorated, equipped with a large flat-screen, large bath with bidet, small refrig and lots of power outlets, including two on the nightstand next to the head of the bed - a very nice touch! Bed was very comfortable. Wireless worked well but the network in the lobby and the one in the rooms are different, causing us to have to re-enter ID and password in order to reconnect each time we moved back and forth between the two. Soundproofing to hall noises is poor but not a frequent problem. Soundproofing between the rooms was really good - large party next door was very obvious in the hall, but absolutely unnoticeable in the room. Lobby are is very attractive. Breakfast is temporarily downstairs while the primary dining area is being remodeled, but I would not bother - $20-25 for a small and simple breakfast is too high (altho big eaters may find the buffet a reasonable deal) and better food is available nearby at far less cost The bar is attractive and draws a crowd most evenings but prices are 50-100% too high.
