“Great Home Base in the Heart of Montreal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sheraton Le Centre Montreal over the Labor Day weekend, targeting a centrally located property that was close to the Metro (truly, the best way to get around in Montreal). We've come to expect a certain level of service and amenitities when stating at a Starwood property, and we were pleasantly surprised.

Lucien-L Allierand and Bonaventure Metro stations are both within walking distance, easily transporting you to historic Old Montreal, Jean-Talon, and all the other popular destinations. There are also plenty of bus routes right outside the hotel, including a stop to the airport.

The hotel itself was beautifully decorated, a mix of old word charm and modern decor. The on site bar was a great place to hang out, and there's free Wifi in the Link lounge (tip: you can ask the front desk for the pass code to login). They also offer one way currency exchange. Staff was all super friendly, with a special shout out to Guido at the bar and Mauricio at the concierge desk for their tips and help with reservations. The bar was one of our favorite late night haunts, featuring a great selection of local brews on tap. We also had Guido make us one hell of a Mojito.

Room was a nice size, super comfy bed, free water, and beautiful view of the city. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great three night stay. This location is walking distance to shopping and restaurants in the central area and near the Metro for trips farther afield. Service in the bistro and the bar were good.

We stayed two nights a the Sheraton and everything was perfect (especially the bed!)
The location was great and we had a great view of the downtown area.
Speedy check out and free Internet access in the lobby!

The only thing that bothered us a little is that we could hear everything from the room next to ours. I guess the reason was that they could be transformed into a suite.

We will surely go back!

We spent Canadian Thanksgiving at the Sheraton Centre. We had a room with a great view of Mount Royal. The restaurants/room service were first rate. Exercise facilities are well equipped and clean, as is the entire property.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the mountain. the fall colourts were spectacular!

If you need to be in Montreal's City Center, this is an excellent vacation. Very competent staff. Clean rooms, though in our case, not particulary large. Minor complaints: light switch for bathroom is outside the bathroom itself, and the door to the bathroom is translucent, so if you are traveling with a light sleeper, this may be a factor. The other minor complaint is that the pillows are of the foam variety, and not particularly comfortable. Perhaps you can ask for a feather pillow, but I stayed at the property for only a single night, so didn't bother. Parking garage under the building is tight, so leave pickup trucks home.

I have just come back from a 2 night stay at the property last weekend. The property is in a fantastic location. Highlight of the stay was the staff. Speedy check in and out and dinner recommendations of concierge were spot on.

We stayed 5 days and found the location great, easy walking distance to downtown shopping and the transit system. Service was great, and rooms very comfortable and clean. We found the concierge very helpful and the recommendation's they gave were all excellent only wish we had more time to enjoy this beautiful city.
