“久しぶりですね! Like flying back to Japan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Authentic Japanese comfort food describes this place best. My friends and I celebrated my birthday here - we waited an hour and a half in line in the cold but was well worth the wait. The okonomiyaki, donburi, and hot sake really brought us back to life. A little pricey, but great atmosphere. Great for an after-work get-together.

“Just Ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

I was expecting more since there was always a huge line in front on the place. Food was ok, it was well priced and the place is too small, you sit right too next to other people.

“Authentic Japanese in Montreal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

What a great restaurant, a true gem.

Specials are on the wall, the domburi bowl style are delicious.
Great service, nice isakaya ambience in downtown Montreal.
They make their own tofu as well.

A must!

“Very good food and friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

I went to Kazu for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It has the feel of a New York hot spot which is great. You probably will have to wait in line do to the limited space inside and the high number of people that love the place. The service was very friendly, and has this asian hospitality touch which is great (haven't seen much places like that in Montreal).

What I ordered was great, and what people around me were eating seemed also very good. I started with chicken brochette and for entree en tuna and salmon sashimi with rice and salad. The dressing was superb, great quality fish, cooked with passion. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting for living in Montreal.

“My absolute favorite restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Kazu is one of Montreal`s hidden gems. If it weren't for the long line-ups outside this restaurant, it would be extremely easy to pass by. Salmon tuna bowl is a must have... Tofu salad entrée is also one of my favorites. Sit at the counter and watch as all the meals are made- amazing!
